Not sure a FTSE 100 boss is really comparable in this context (or FTSE 250 for that matter).
Most, will receive shares as part of their remuneration package, or a 'golden hello' when joining the company, so will not necessarily have put their own money in, rather than sacrifice some salary for what is probably a tax-advantageous position.

SS buying shares was a concern for me circa 1-2 years ago, but immaterial for me now.
My previous stance was from a position that many II's, Investment firm Fund Managers, etc would only consider investment in an AIM firm if management were 'bought in' too and showing their commitment to progressing the company. From that perspective, options are not considered to be an alignment of management with their shareholders.
This has always been too contentious an issue, and not really worth getting too bogged down with in the grand scheme of things as everyone will have examples of where 'alignment with shareholders' can be shown to be good, or bad.
I would much rather see better communication with shareholders and a more visible company presence looking to attract that all important II money as well as maximising cash generation in order to allow access to better sources of fund raising to allow a more steady footing for long term growth.

Of course non-holders do not need to buy in if they are unhappy, Idespair, but for current holders, a review of your investment timeline, current progress and SP is worth making.
Looking back at the Jan 2019 Strategy and drilling plan RNS (for 2019-20), progress has been much slower than anticipated operationally (e.g. 2 horizontal wells by end 2019), although clearly progress has been made elsewhere (e.g. additional acreage, albeit via dilution).
I am hoping to see an updated strategy plan released for this year, but the ongoing silence on communications and delays are concerning, which are leading (imo) many to reviews their positions here.
Delays, of course do happen, but a 1-2 year time frame, could turn out to be much longer, without any guarantee of success in all areas under consideration.
This is still a risky play, despite considerable progress, and I for one, although comfortable with my holding and average (1.48) am looking to hold for news, rather than consider adding further.
This time last year I was hoping for a return to a 1.50p to 2p SP by year end, and now 1 year on am looking at the same for this year. I see this coming good in the long term, but just do not see any sharp re-rate in the short term.

But what do I know, as apparently I am either a troll or a trader for not being 100% positive on every aspect here, despite having a realistic (imo) outlook.

Funny how if anyone on here expresses a negative viewpoint on any particular aspect they are routinely jumped on by posters, called trolls and swampies and get ripped to shreds by the twitter group.
Yet Adrian goes into full meltdown on twitter and everyone is queuing up to side with him, say his expletive-ridden rants are justified, and if anyone has cause to express their frustration, it's him.
Not at all hypocritical, no?
It will be interesting to see if his tweets remain, or if he deletes them.

I would suggest that the 'troll' here is the poster who has predicted an 8p share price for well over 4 months now based on nothing more than the sound logic that 'it got there once before' (in 2017), and who is now predicting an 8p SP for Q2, 2020 AFTER a consolidation (but without detailing the rate of conversion to achieve this).
Slight moving of the goalposts there?

Rather than keep calling out other posters as trolls for not being 100% positive on everything ukog all of the time, why not display to this board exactly how you expect to an 8p target for ukog in Q2 to come about as you do not seem to provide any substance to back up your positivity.
What do you foresee ukog's bopd by end of Q2 and from what sources, what rate do you foresee any consolidation to be made at to achieve your dramatically altered SP target claims, and what other news do you expect in this timeframe to boost the SP and encourage II's to part with their hard-earned investment money and encourage an upturn in sentiment and trading volume?

You seem very good at avoiding direct questions by 'deflecting' on posters who question your viewpoint, as your recent replies to both myself and Ninetails appear to be doing.
What is your investment case for the short term?

I am baffled by the constant references on here to UJO (likewise over there).
It seems a deliberate attempt at deflection, or a sign of nervousness in posters' own investments (imo).
Both have their merits, both are at very different stages in their respective business plans, and both have the potential to provide a good return to investors over different timescales.
Both could turn out to be good options dependent on your own investment horizons, so why the constant knocking of the other to 'promote' the 'chosen one' as being the only choice for an investment?
It is not an either, or scenario.

You said weeks ago that you had filtered me, yet you continue reply to my every post with preposterous and totally unfounded claims.
I have been invested in ukog for over 2 years, and have a cautiously optimistic viewpoint on ukog for the long term, but with reservations about certain aspects of the current business model based on the past years' evidence of activity, such as communication, timescales for sticking to work programs and time take to resolve any issues no matter how easy to fix they may, or may not be.
Of course things can slip, and delays do not mean unsurmountable problems, but please be realistic and do not just blindly defend everything as it just shows an unhealthy emotional attachment to this share, rather than a sound investment decision (and potentially a sign of being overinvested).

Not promoting a positive view on EVERY aspect of ukog's activities with every post made does not make you a swampy, troll, someone looking for a lower entry point, or whatever you (or others) like to spout just because you may have an unrealistic short term view.
I have posted before that periodically reviewing all investments is a sound basis for a balanced portfolio, but this just leads to me being called out as a trader by those seemingly worried about the current sentiment of posts on this board.

Fwiw I have not sold any ukog since my first buy (circa Dec 2017), and my posting history reflects multiple top-ups thought 2019.

Of course the interest should be accounted for, but not exactly massive in the grand scheme of things, no?
The important thing is the persistent few demanded for months that this loan be repaid, the company committed to seeing it was by year end, and it has confirmed payment 'in full', and on time (give or take a few days - the announcement may have been late).
The 'in full' implies principal plus interest. Clarity would do no harm, but it will be shown in the accounts, if not confirmed before. Agree with LLTM's 15:45 post too.

For me, this action point, along with the implementation and monthly update of the IQ's on their website shows the company is making an effort to progress, and move away from the old management methods, be more transparent, although for some they just will not admit that the management and focus is different to the previous regime.

Balcombe and Saltfleetby will ultimately be the yardstick to measure the new regime by though in 2020.

Let's see how many they look to answer by month end, they could take 3 months for all of them given their commitment to answer the 10 most popular if there are too many, although some of these may require an RNS.

It goes both ways, and I've been around both long enough to know that this goes on from both sides all the time, your response just proves this further really, suggesting the only reason for raising it was for an ulterior motive. Attack seems to be the best (only) form of defence for many on these boards.

A valid (imo) point was raised about the time it would take. The pro-UJO lot (unsurprisingly) disputed that, but with no real evidence to back it up.
Evidence was provided to show it could take a while, and rather than anyone accept that they may have got it wrong, they all deflected from the point to make it an us vs them argument, or say they don't care (when they clearly do).

So, there is a possibility that the access road will take time, regardless of the allegiance of the person who posted it, but no one seems willing to accept that.

I am invested in both by the way and can see there are merits (as well as drawbacks) for each company in different areas of their operations, communication, funding requirements, etc. Neither are nailed on certs, or basket-cases, regardless of what posters on each board would have you believe. The truth, as always, is somewhere in the middle ground, where few people seem to exist.

So, let's see if I've got this right.
One poster comments that they believe the access road will not be a quick event.
Many replies jumping on said poster, saying they are a clown and that it will be done quickly.
Another poster backs up the first claim with the plan for action and timelines to complete (from the company).
Everyone then joins in to respond to either say a) who cares how long it takes; or b) start talking about another share, and possible issues there to deflect from the original point, which in turn becomes a mud-slinging contest between holders of 'rival' shares.
All very 'my share is better than yours' and no one prepared to admit they may have been wrong jumping in feet first to 'defend' their share (quelle surprise).
Just a normal day of 'rational debate on these boards then.

I think it is a general view to ensure that large chunks of shares are not just dumped on the market to crash the SP (or materially affect it).
The same goes for buying, for example, if a Fund Manage is handling a large cash inflow, as well as for selling for a large outflow.
From experience, it is generally seen to be circa 10%-15% of market volume, but this will differ depending on market (e.g. FTSE vs AIM, or Developed market vs Emerging market) and is often left to dealers to manage as they see fit working with their trading counterparts.
Certainly, when it comes to Fund Managers and dealing, it will be on a case by case basis looking at usual volume, volatility, expected price, etc, so unless actually specified in an agreement, it will be down to interpretation and taking a sensible approach.
Difficult to define really when different factors will come into play, although for this type of agreement, some type of stipulation , or range of volume would be simple to adhere to, if outlined and 6 months allows plenty of leeway imo.

So much agenda driven posting from both sides all proclaiming there is no balance here whilst shutting down any posts falling foul of 'their' opinion.
At the time of writing, none of the last dozen posts here were ukog related, just personal attacks and pretty much a coordinated bullying of another poster.

Disagree, Ninetails.
DHC was always very clever not to engage with other posters, call them out and abuse posters with differing viewpoints.
He was always careful to ensure he would not get banned for any reason (e.g. using official RNS to extrapolate to make his points).
He lost a lot of credibility selling out here to buy ANGS (circa 2p) and SXX (circa 8/9p), but seems consistent with his view on 'alternative financing'.
HIs ramping of SXX was shameful. He was posting it was a great opportunity (at 3p after the last big collapse) at the same time many were worrying about telling their families that had lost heir life savings , and I believe he is currently ramping another stock having gone very quiet on those boards.
For me, Steptoes is more reminiscent of Rodders. He has made some decent points, but( imo) is more intent on promoting the positive without acknowledging potential negatives, and as such, resorts to abuse and name-calling for anyone who posts anything detrimental to ukog and its' activities.

Not disputing the history, just see the first 2 sentences as a 'reasonable' approach when looking at AIM, the last part depends on your own personal view and research.
Agreed, that the general sentiment is negative.

For the second post, the following is also pertinent when it comes to AIM in general, imo 'Up and down like a yoyo and we all know who benefits from that sort of market. Not the long term, dedicated investor'.
Disagree with the last point, again, but even in the negative. folk should acknowledge the general viewpoint without necessarily agreeing with the whole viewpoint.
I would never encourage investors one way or the other, but would encourage all viewpoints be considered (as well as RNS and research) to get the best possible understanding and make investment decisions based on that.
Not trying to get into an argument, just appreciate that when disagreeing with the general sentiment of a post, there may be good points worth considering, hence why I do not filter posters. Not always though, of course.

Sadly, that is the case, Insiduous.
Although I often disagree with the methodology shown to get to the SP currently seen (we need a CPR to get a more accurate valuation), the rampers, will never acknowledge the fact that they have consistently been wrong overt the past 2 years and are more concerned with calling out other posters than introducing a more reasoned and realistic approach to their outlook and predictions.
Of course, this could take off massively with some bumper news, but the market does not see it this way and the 6 wells expected by year end (at this time last year), have not materialised.
The market EXPECTS results now, no more hype, or sentiment will push this higher.
2019 was supposed to be a year of deliverance by ukog, 2020 has now become the year of deliverance.
Sad, but true.
