What the dip does is predictably encourage more short term buyers who then sell at their chosen profit on a rise. Which then perpetuates the process. Suits mm’s just fine.

4D is easily manipulated by AT’s which are cost-free to professional traders. Both my other shares have also megaslumped although nothing materially has changed. The market has created its own divorced market, much like Lehmans bundled bonds became divorced from the defaulting borrowers in 2008. It’s a market which has disconnected from true valuations or prospects and works on volume or manipulation. Evolved into this as it makes the City traders short term profits. And since low/zero interest rates, p/is are just in and out…not investors.

I am not a chartist…find much chartism delusional. But shares go up ..go down. To open up down is normal. Up also. All part of shares. I mean look at two or three monoliths ( BP/Glencor/BHP)…oil and commodities. Down nearly 6%. Markets are very dour right now. Been here as far back as October ‘87 and all the crises since then. So many. It’s the world we live in and stocks reflect uncertainties.
4D is so damn cheap right now, but it needs time. Impatience is the enemy.

Ukraine becoming a protracted procy war etc etc.

Good cohesive thread. Robins..I’ve not sold a bean either. Porky’s summary of awaited news is good. Short term trading winning atm but generally speaking whole market down. All 3 of my holdings tanking. One of them is oil (!!?) . Ups and downs but unless you sell, it’s all a paper loss. My 2 other holdings are cash rich but poor performing. 4D easily holds the most promise. Don’t expect things to happen when you want…no correlation. See the truth in the proven (!) science and wait. Pay attention only to proven trustworthy posters. Plenty are not. Patience. Trust.
Both harx. But otherwise we bend woth the wind….and as such are not investing in the company, just the fickle market.

Do not mistake anger for bitterness.
Bitterness is sometimes justified in this world but is in this case mostly unscrupulous greed and a dubious sense of integrity by often uncivil / abusive posters. They hold a type of bitterness yes.
It will most certainly also be displayed in the real world. Anger is often far healthier and does not have to bring darkness or negativity …of which we see much.

I would agree with Porky. Yes the 5% ‘ers are in and out and that’s the way this market is, but anyone invested properly here will reap full rewards on waiting. News is the real catalyst and the real market knows it. Shorters will rightly finally suffer and the in and outers can do what they want because it’s how the market is anyway! I just tuck my holding away and leave it. But people can do what they want.
Bragging about making profit is not very tasteful in my opinion though. Why is it necessary?

I would suggest both profit-takers and shorters were involved in the drop, but its rapidity echoes the latter. And Mm’s can always just drop a price to create a market anyway.
Shorters are legal but destroy shares and companies and distort markets. But if they are legal, there is no stopping them , bar exporting them to Rwanda.

More manipulation than a dodgy chiropractor.
It encourages the short term traders which in itself skews the market even more.
Time to switch off and leave.
