It is my opinion that somone is building a position and that MM's are accommodating this. If you look at today's trades it seems fairly clear.

There is a persistent seller or institution which in a very timely manner will sell and suppress Trin. This morning it was at 8:01. It usually is. And is often at 16:29. Or at anybother time. Trin's bid price is actively being kept down so it has no opportunity to respond. If someone doesn't agree that is fine. I have no doubt.

Just got in and not seen the figures yet. But I did honestly think a massive drawdown was just inevitable . Shale does not account for US demand ( weather or driving surges). 3 months left of US winter. It doesn't let up until well into April. Midwest until May sometimes. NY can be sub-zero well into April. More oil- munching to come then. Sad about the nasty things that happened to people out there 'cos of snow but US weather is crazy. Person I spoke to on phone yesterday said expecting blizzard in St. Louis Missouri this week . Those low predicted API figures are silly. EIA is often off the mark though. We'll see. Only Jan 9th. Very early for large drawdowns which is good for oil price going forward.

Your question re. drifting down. Common on AIM. AIM often thrives on newsflow.And volume. Low volume does tend to have a negative effect at times on smaller AIM companies. Just one sell can have a big effect. Trin has always been a bit unloved but it sits in a fickle index.Long term you are right. AIM does not do long-term much of the time. Drifting has been such a common-place Trin event. I have been in over 4 years. It is not a rational event. It is an absence of amphetamine to keep the price pumped. The business could not be more sound. Waiting for update late Feb. May be news re asset sale.

I agree re. meaningful news. I see the late-Feb FY results as prviding a powerful update. I have suspicions also that WTI may take a further leap forward on inventory news and we still have 3 more months left of US winter anyway. My feelings are that when Trin is debt-free ( or when repayment is guaranteed) that Trin may be snapped up. But remember Bruce saying he wouldn't let it go for a song. Trouble is that T and T govt. are very very pernickerty with regulations. They have snubbed two asset sales already. Not sure what powers they have re. takeovers. Increase in dependency on Europe for energy is grave mistake.Of course price plays big part in contracts but as Margaret Thatcher ( in the eighties) and Eastern Europe ( especially Ukraine) recently discovered ...it lays the UK openvtonpoliticsl bullying and pressure and armlocks . Particularly from the aggressive Russian Bear which has held Europe to ransom with its gas pipelines and still does. Independence is to be fostered. I am aftaid that this government is one of the weakest I have knownand evokes little faith in the need for long-term planning. They are obsessed with Brexit and trying to stay in power at all costs. Their biggest error was calling an election . Not quite as big as Cameron's misplaced faith in a referendum!! So......appeasing Europe seems to be the order of tge day unfortunately. My MP regrettfuly admiyted it to me on Friday !!! I agree with the commentary you have posted. Increasing reliance on energy imports is a short-term solution and an error. US is shunning renewables and nuclear and ( oil being a given) turning more and more to gas as it is cheaper as is its transportation. Not sure if LNG but guess it has to be. I assume we have to always be referring to LNG as non-liquified must be nightmare( I know little about gas- a great deal about oil because my other very long-term investment is in oil.) Trump has restarted the coal industry too. No such thing as global warming you see. Would not be surprised if Trump doesn't last long though !!! Could all change.
