Interesting post. You have seen much of the truth about Trump and that Europe can stand alone. But at a cost. Putin has sacrificed a whole generation of young men—a war crime against his own country-but he has weapons( not just nuclear) which are inhuman. He is not afraid to use them. But he is a murderer and bullies and bullies must always be confronted . Always. He is one of the sickest humans( Assad/Xi/Mugabe/Kim/ others may join him) but he is wily. I am a great fan of Zelensky. He is clearly no angel, but I know courage and integrity. I live by them and would be dead many times over if not for my courage to go on in times others would not have survived. Either way, as I said, this is a complex matter. Zhevago has probably been pretty corrupt and it isn’t just the govt. here, but it is grossly unfair and illegal to pass that onto Ferrexpo. I assume they are taking it to court. They can’t leave it.

Russia could become more reintegrated with fertiliser and foodstuffs, but not at the expense of Ukraine in some other form. I feel this will likely be step by step over many many months. Russia is still bombing during the negotiations. Both Ukraine and Russia are corrupt, no doubt, as is the US and some of UK govt. too, but the war has few left living to fight from whatever country. Russia will annexe Donetsk and more. Permanently . That should be enough. Then Ukraine must be allowed to join Nato regardless of Putin. So that life can go on. And Fxpo. As it will.

I’m going to support Trollhunter here. Too many people wishing for the negative to happen. Zhevago is corrupt. Always has been. But he is in a squeeze situation right now. There are many institutions outside Zhevago’s 48%. ( Blackrock et al) .They are probably actively involved in whatever they can do to keep production up. This was £1 about 8 weeks ago. The Trump tariff effrct is only part of the descent. The govt. want their pound of flesh. But they can’t let Fxpo collapse as it is essential. To liquidate it and sell off assets would not help them. They need the revenue, especially minus US.

Results were ok apart from Shinez, which lost them a bit. Rest of the business has done ok. Fairly decent growth. Very high opersting cash flow which is essentially profit. I really have no idea if Vedanta will bite the bullet… it’s all negotiations and wranglings behind closed doors. But in today’s dingy market , nothing either way would surprise me. As a business, Shinez seems the only downer.

Still . 25% from where we are now is not to be sniffed at !!!

They would have to dump a lot before March 4th. I never know whether to read into 8.3’s. Certainly not a lot has been sold in last 2 days to warrant the drop imo.

I still think there is funny stuff afoot and emotionally doubt the bid will be honoured March 4th , but we’ll see. Not nice to watch my loss deepening. Like GGG but on a much smaller but equally meaningful scale. I don’t have much, but it’s hard to lose it!

I do not see the volume to cause this dip as you say GGG. That means that the drop is an intended one. Clearly. Why? Don’t know.

Treeshake? Gradual dipping of price due to lack of confidence in the deal? Don’t know. Games? Don’t know. Of course I want the deal to go through. The market makers and the market itself are so corrupt however, that looking for valid reasons for a drop with no volume is in some ways just speculation.

I cannot bring myself to sell either. And I know the mm’s read these bb’s so I’ll make it clear that whatever price, I will hold. Big FCF and BB’s mean that this is not a dud. The management may be possibly lacking and deadly dodgy, but the money is there. Not dead in the water yet. Mm’s play devious games. Just look at Fxpo. Pinnochio share. Does anything they want it to. There are however games being played with Tig. Big loss ( for me) , but I will hold out of bloody -mindedness no matter what anyway.
