Anyone know much about either Dowgate Capital? I assume they are now the owners of 5% of EAAS (not sure about Onward Opportunities)

I don't think the market likes the uncertainty here and lack of any news regarding shareholdings and/or Harvey's two jobs.

Whatever it was, I'm very grateful for another chance to take a slice of profits.

Just in time, some new funds dropped into my ISA and there was a good supply of FIPP shares to pick up at bargain prices.

An interesting question and we had similar discussions just over a year ago when there were fears/rumours of major changes to CGT rates. Here I think you are not concerned about a long term hit but a short term one which really shouldn't be a problem. Furthermore, the bigger changes likely to affect the SP here are more likely to be driven by any reaction in the bond markets instead of through the impact on commercial activity or business profitability and the risks here are likely to be higher if tax rises are too low.

In short, if you are worried about price hits, there are probably other shares than LGEN where I would be more worried.

Selling on an uptick is just one of those things you face with any stock, regardless of how far it has fallen. The good news is that you can only sell once and if the company deserves a higher valuation it will get there even if it has to demonstrate this with growth rates that are currently not being priced in. As ever, the simple rules apply here, if you think the stock is underpriced, hold or buy.

Having transferred a block of funds to my main ISA, I have a little cash to spend so will be transferring over some of my GAMA shares into the ISA and gain a few capital gains tax credits.

I quite like these positive Sunday thoughts. Makes a change from the negative (Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri)day mood even with the filtering.

As you've demonstrated, there's no room for the price to go down without putting a negative value on the business so any positive news should lead to the SP starting to reflect some real value here - though whether it changes the general mood here I am more doubtful.

....though I would hazard a guess that Harwood have increased their stake even further after picking up the Luceco holding. It's getting to be quite substantial now so it would be useful hearing their thoughts on EAAS

We will find out who the seller was soon enough on that sort of volume.

Not expecting anything to be scrapped, more likely firmer proposals on the follow up regime. It's not as if the government really control a majority in the house and much as we might hope the Tories would support it, I imagine they will find some sort of excuse not to. They really have to emphasise the jobs angle for this to fly as the green lobby will be playing every trick in the book to give way even an inch.

Current exchange rate is now 1 M&S share = 1.02 coffees.

I have plenty of the former but can only drink one coffee at a time.

I managed to pick up a few thousand through AJ Bell before supply dried up there.

I guess that's always the problem with share price peaks. Afterwards, the share price almost always fall until it eventually breaks through that barrier on the way to a higher peak.

I agree and I am a little disappointed I misjudged the bottom of the recent dip and missed the chance to pick up a few more shares cheaply. Still, a win is a win and Serica are also contributing nicely towards my pension this week too.

We should have seen an RNS by now so that we could understand how this position would affect his role here. I can't see any synergy in the two roles and the new one is hardly what I would call a hobby.

Hardly a problem for longer term investors if a short term trader takes their profits. They'll be replaced by either a longer term investor or by another trader who will probably hold for another 10% rise.

For the rest of us, the old adage "Time in the market is better than timing the market" will give us our returns here.
