regardless of Brexit outcomes, people regardless will smoke cigarettes or borrow money for mortgages and loans. Cant see the fear driven media
true that, though I was vague and was making a generalised comment without refering to names. Wouldnt vote for them ever, cant be taken seriously
It was a few years ago when someone from the labour party said that they would give up Trident nuclear deterrent. Great sign of statesmanship. Weaken the nations defences. A wonderful and nonsense party policy. After I read this, my interest in politics which was already weak, was cut off even further. Joke policy
There is another news link saying that BAT has sold over 2 million Glo devices in Japan since December 2016. Good news as there is plenty of repeat business. Surely if BAT success continues the Share Price will be 100 quid? ok optimistic though this should assist the companies intended New generation product goals.
whilst the news of Juul entering the UK and other markets is bad. The latest is that RJReynolds are launching a new e cigarette Vuse Alto in the US and elsewhere to try to recpature the e cigarette market.
the dividend gets paid
is everyone expecting a much bigger than 1p dividend than the second half of 2017?
cant believe this came to light in the press today with the court hearing being tomorrow.
my first ever purchase of Lloyds shares, hoping that both the dividend growth and SP rises. gla
I read that was imperial.are bats in this game as well?
bought a fair amount of shares in Vodafone according to a rns. Sign at least of some confidence in Vodafone
They must be a bit lower as the GBP USD rate has come down in British American tobacco favour
This is a cash generative business, smoking is in decline, though populations are rising and cigarette prices can rise. Dividends and profits are rising yet why the fall?
Apart from the price wars, increased competition, lower margins, Vodafone India lost 640,000 subscribers but our merger partner added 6 million. So overall things cant be that bad.
yes though when you want to buy back again you face paying more transaction fees
Vodafone recovered from a big loss to a big profit, higher free cash flow compared to the dividend payments and yet the SP falls? absolute craziness
you should have bought some yesterday, today is the ex dividend day
for dividend reinvestors, lets say the dividend is 9.2p at the exchange rate, how do you work out how many extra shares. I read that they use the GBP/EUR on average 5 days before the payment date of the dividend. Basically what I am asking is how do you work out the calculation as to how many shares will be gained
This must be a bargain share with the ex dividend at the end of June. An almost recession proof business even if cigarette smoking declines, population goes up over time, as well as more people with e cigarettes and vaping. Am also invested in Vodafone and strongly believe in this telecoms multi national.
The new guy must know his stuff, or he would most likely not be at the number 1 post of this telecoms giant brand. He must have a short and medium term strategy almost presented to him by the departing CEO.
