type in Vodafone in google, search the news and you will see the City Fibre partnership with Vodafone. Todays news. 1Gbps
1gbps broadband in the UK. Surely this puts us way ahead in the speed and service stakes against everyone in the UK
I thought as much a few weeks ago. This paves the way for dividends forever, bye bye Juul. So it is now British American and Marlboro vying for market leadership in e cigs
In India there were $10 billion being talked about. The savings made there alone would cover 2 or 3 annual dividends on its own.
I am not siding with anyone, though I did see on another news story Nick Read could sell the towers and lease them back which could add some cash to Vodafones table. They are already aggressively cutting out costs.
just read that Citi bank boosts to buy on near-term positives. "Positives that should not be ignored" despite a year of downward earnings revisions". they upgraded VOD to a buy rating.
Why the rise? I sold my shares, it must have been that the market is up every so slightly in a tiny way
over 8000 jobs since the merger was announced.
Vodafone India has shed 8000 jobs since the merger, so the dividend must be on its way to being classed as safe.
when in 2-3 months time the shares go ex-dividend, surely all the news is already priced in. people selling now are selling there golden tickets cheap
over 90% for BT vs 50% for Vodafone. all approximate though says it all
since March, all I have been paid is 44 extra shares instead of my 9p dividend. I had thought that 1% in the bank was useless. How thick was I then?
Vodafone India added 609,054 new consumers and Bharti Airtel's subscriber base increased to 313,284 in July, industry group Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) in a statement said.
Money was safer in cash, rather than being paid a dividend and so far losing approximately 33pc since march this year. I still have some hope that the company can recover. In Spain people want movies and entertainment not sports. Also don't think that Vodafone do not have low budget brands in place ready to win back customers.
Has the purchase been completed or are we still waiting for some clearance
if the ban on e cigarettes in public places is made, then this will continue to keep traditional cigarettes as the mainstream product. This part I cant see as a negative.
in the US the ban of flavoured e cigarette flavours. I am probably wrong but I did think that BATS did focus mainly on tobacco and menthol flavours. The unusual flavours were being distributed by Juul. Though not good if the USA are banning menthol.
I was going to buy Imperial brands just did not have the funds to buy it before the latest ex div. They have some fantastic brands in their portfolio.
20% of total dividend of $2.3 billion. Why hasnt the SP of BP reflect the good contribution
the dividend comes from the free cashflow which was at the last full years results higher than the dividend and spectrum payments. As long as the cash is there the dividend will get paid.
Not sure why there has been so much selling as the cash is there.
I will presume there are cost savings and other ways to increase Vodafone India after the merger. In Spain there seems to be a focus on content as opposed to football and sporting rights.
The UK Vodafone has better ratings in customer service than before. Overall the investment in spectrum and infrastructure should see us motor ahead of the rivals. With better spectrum everywhere the competitors wont be able to offer as much. All imo
