This board is so useless they cannot even pick a good day to break out good news. This Bonham Carter fellow (CFO jobs for the boys type) should have known better than to release a trading update on the day US announces inflation figures. Which are not good either.
ITV opened at 68.6p and now below the open price due to this mistiming

68p 62p then 50p - technically oversold at these levels but has further room to fall judging by RSI readings in March. Momentum is not with ITV (technically). More downside to follow perhaps a small bounce if we close @68p as it is a COVID retracement fibo level (.786).

There is some support at 68p and then some at 60-62p - 50p is unlikely I think and it was the Covid low - unless the market really tanks...

It's all in the chart - Back to where we were then. 69p incoming.
There was a chance to send a message to the useless board and Dame CashCall but 99.5% let her continue the destruction.
Not that I am bitter but there is an ethos in this country of tugging the forelock. Institutions invested are not going to do anything for fear of causing more harm than good. And we also know that institutions know how to make money out of a sinking share...

I heard it I think on this board by someone who was present at a staff meeting of sorts. Regardless of whether it is true or not her record since she took over just shows that. Complete disregard for the shareholders. Only cares about showing some sort term performance improvement so she and the other board members receive their bonuses

Indeed the hedge fund manager finally asked the right question - up until then it was a mundane meeting with irrelevant questions re programming. These execs are not being pushed as much as I would like. The response to the question though albeit recognising their communication errors offered nothing in trying to correct it. Perhaps a roadshow to analysts or something but the Dame kept her mouth shut. Surprised she was not pushed that much and no-one pushed her about her abysmal performance since she took over. Blaming Brexit Covid and now Ukraine war instead. I will not be buying ( I am contrarian but not stupid) for the long term. Swing trade opportunity for me only.

5 years waiting means only one thing. Refusal to move on after a failed investment and waiting for a stock that has been down trending to bounce back to their buy average so they can sell and emotionally be able to tell themselves they haven't lost money. In fact they have lost either to inflation or opportunities elsewhere.
Unless ITV can sustain at least a couple of weeks of closes above 115p the trend is still down and will continue to be so until Carolyn McCall is removed and either an activist investor takes charge with a clear plan or a new CEO produces a clear strategy and vision after they clear the decks from all the nonsense. More pain ahead

Avid you'd be mad to throw everything at it. In this game you have to preserve capital and manage risk. Recipe for blowing up your account or remain stuck in an investment and loose out on others
