If FRR have the sympathy/support of the US government to bring block 12 fully to life, whether by a buy out or JV, that would be of huge benefit to the GG. In that scenario Hope/OR and their efforts is just noise and I include the Liquidators in that. I think there will be positive progress before too long.

Release of monies by the GG could be linked to resolution of arbitration. This period must have been very very expensive for Frontera, taking all of their income for months on end. The release of funds to Frontera would be very welcome and could be the signal that a deal could now be very near. The 5th of November?. I'll go with that - it's my birthday!

Excellent stuff Madpunter, it seems to me that arbitration is the last remaining hurdle preventing the consummation of a deal with BP, not the action with SH/O whenever and however that might take place and conclude. Noises off as has been said, but one, if the smoking gun is there, that could yield substantial damages.
Hope's action for shares is against SN/ZM not Frontera so that should not hold up any deal either. Our house detectives (bless them) need to focus all on discovering what they can about the arbitration proceedings.

Please remind me, I've not seen any credible evidence that the GG want 99% of block12 or that there would be even the remotest chance of them achieving that in any arbitration.

If you use Halifax/Lloyds as brokers then the number of shares you hold and the book cost is shown in your account. There is no reason why other brokers cannot do the same ( apart from incompetence).

At least the Frontera PR company is based in London even though that for now it has nothing to say.

There is nothing to say that we may, or may not be in for a six month wait. We simply don't know what the plan is. There could be a dividend next month or not. Just KBO!

There is little doubt that if you are long dividends could be a better bet, certainly initially, than a re-list. However it is hard to resist the thought that a re-list at a suitably high price would cause "weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth" among the shorters. Maybe this interview could be the start of the Frontera butterfly emerging from its hibernation - let's hope so.

One thing that I think would strengthen FRR's hand considerably during the arbitration would be if they listed on an American exchange (NASDAQ?). This would would truly "Americanise " their position and make the GG think carefully if they did not want to provoke any adverse reaction from the American government. A reinstatement of a London listing would not have the same effect.

At least when we re-list/are sold, then at least we know who are the good and bad brokers. I use Lloyds/Halifax and after a few days gap the share transfer from crest to company origin was made good.
I don't suppose that any of us did much serious market research before we chose our broker, I know I didn't, it was the easiest choice at the time after Barclays messed up their broking facility so my choice was more by luck than judgement.

RR - Waiting for pay day, just like you.

On a lighter note, does anybody know how the shorters have been treated. Has it (hopefully) cost them money so far while they wait for a very expensive judgement day (as per RR) or has their position been rolled over at a minimum cost.
