RE: If Mcdonalds did 50p cheese burger4 Sep 2022 12:22
Aim,
I'm trying to understand what kind of profits / changes this would have to a really generate. I was trying to read up on it yesterday, but didn't get far. They seem to loose x % of a ticket, I think 25-40% maybe, but they also have a minimum payment per screen, so if the tickets don't cover it, they still loose it, I read £75 - £150 but I this wasn't a great source. You also have to increase staff, so that's a cost. Also looking at your hamburger story, if they did that people would still by MC Donald's tomorrow. If you watch a cheap film, your not going to go watch it again so fire sales losses you money for those that probably would have seen it, but then you get lots of people who would not have, so that's good? Though was there a lot of one off showings of old films?
I'm struggling to see how this would generate alot of instant cash, but obviously lots of positives, lots more food sold and getting people interested in cinema again.
Interested to see what people think and if there's someone that knows more that has accurate costs etc.
