JC has confirmed that circa 10 Million Smarts have now been installed in India. Who, or what is inside the vast majority is still unknown, but India need to be fitting over 4 Million every month now to meet the December 2023 deadline. Going by JC's own 'conservative' estimate at 7.5% win rate, they will need around 300,000 units every month to keep supply. IF this ever starts to happen, CC will not have pockets deep enough so will trigger one of two options. The trusty placing, at massive scale, will be first. If that doesn't provide what's required, CC getting taken out will be 2nd.

I'm always astounded to hear some still attach any faith in JC's estimates. He's been wrong for years, lighting has happened without him ( Wirepas are doing rather well though), and his estimates are falling yearly. Some day, in the next few years, he will also have to drop the UK contract bomb.
