61,00,000 is 6.1 million.
As we know in the UK, the vast majority of Smart Comms will be through an existing RF network that covers pretty much all areas. CC have made strong statements recently, and for some time, on the ability to signal for remote regions. India will likely have built in basics, as seen over here, to cover comms through standard networks in dense poplation areas that will not need a specialised method. For this contract, 90 - 10% split could well be the level.
My guess is UK will be more like 99-1% , but with CC's continued silence on the subject it could be there will be no specialist comms required at all.
And that relates to my post somehow?
Hi Vas, it's the same old India issues.
There are elections soon, so the whole thing could be pulled anyway. If not, they will likely have to extend for 5-10 years. Companies trading in profit will ride it out, sadly others will run out of rope.
Sounds like you have finally realised how daft it was.
DYOR : )
'We keep saying should be above 20p and more like 30p.'
YOU keep saying it tonyj.... it's better than the £4 - £5 you banded around for the last 3 years though : )
DYOR
So this is CyanConnode's view on the smart meter roll-out. That the smart meters have to be " ordered " by the relevant dates, and not installed.
Polar opposite of what India have been saying for the last 3 years though.
They could jake, but £1.3million is alot to hide. Looking at the trades, I can't see anyone taking them up.
Hi jake. It would have to be declared if they go through the 3% level as we know. That alone would be £1.3million, the numbers don't currently suggest this is what's happening, but who knows.
There always is with this lot ITT. It's only the BoD, and those who know, end up getting the joke though.
Nordic infrastructure and communications service provider Eltel has signed a new contract through its smart grids business in Sweden with Swedish DSO Vattenfall Eldistribution AB to install 664,000 new-generation smart electricity meters across the country in a contract valued at €51 million ($54.7 million).
Have they ever heard of (Cyan)Connode?
That is a great, informative post Vas. Good to have you back on here!
Tonyj, the $10 million purchase order recently placed will be real money. It will need paying, and CC won't have it...... DYOR
What I am seeing in India is CC exsisting staff, being given new titles. Vice President of Operations is the latest, from a non titled position and they've been there all of 4 months! If they move enough around, giving grand titles of nothingness, they will have filled the 60 plus positions in no time : )
This could have been a 6 million unit contract, and would change the SP little. CC need to confirm, now, how they will fund the company expansion that they happily Tweet about. There is deep distrust in the market, towards CC as a viable business, when they are a one trick pony when it comes to supporting their non explained business plan.
Yep, no accounting for blind ignorance.
I had the heads up on Wirepas 3 years ago, from connected staff in various companies in India. The usual faces here did the normal. They have massive scope with their mesh tech, mind blowing connection that gets stronger with every point that adds. India may see it as a weakness, if fear of one canopy can fail, but they will certainly be a major player going forward. That's if India ever go forward of course.
More to the point tonyj, do YOU have any observations? Surely all that DYOR you will have turned something up by now?
Before you start waving another desperate flag tonyj, have you seen information on the abrupt no show for CC in Thailand?
"indicating the government is substantially ahead of schedule in rolling out the initiative."
What an absolute joke of a statement, you know the targets LTI, why not list them.
