Anyone have factual info on the rollout concept yet?
You're welcome Boris : )

Here's a link containing details of the order. Now post yours containing your details of the order.
Just post a link, not your thoughts, that confirms all of your words in that last post. You must have one, you've been banging on about it for months now. Or, do we start calling you Boris?
Tonyj, I need the link that confirms CC were urgently contracted into Bihar because EDF were running into trouble.
Talking of not suiting, the RDSS confirms the target meter numbers given are NOT ordered, but deployed. Phase 1 is 100 million deployed by December 2023. Someone here tried to confirm the numbers were 'ordered', that is incorrect information, that suited the poster.
With proven revenue streams, supposedly, JC will have no problem raising funds through taking a debt avenue with any Indian bank. It will speak volumes in the market, make CC are far more plausible player, and do away with the constant dilution nonsense they appear addicted to. There can be only one reason they will not do it, and that is they are STILL not a solvent trading co. Simples really.
EDF's Smart Metering project in Bihar has become a benchmark in the country! Other states like Chatissgarh are visiting Bihar to study and learn the strategies for the successful deployment of Smart Prepaid Metering solutions. The largest Smart Prepaid Metering solution deployed in the Country.
Wirepas have done it Vas. BCITS will be their India card, and they are in. EDF will be a similar story, both massive scope for scale, and proven tech that is needed. Don't get me wrong, CC have positioned well for a Minnow in this pond, but the big numbers will be taken up by players who can self fund the real volume. Every decent order CC land needs a handout to complete. India will see that, and it will hold CC back when the real game starts.
My view is India will need anyone that can produce in the volumes required, and at the speed they will need. If it's proven, hits the price and is available, there is room for most to win tenders. CC have gained a very high percentage so far, that will never hold up if/when India decide to get on with it. BCITS/Wirepas combo will be formidable, that is a real volume contender I'd say.
Thanks Vas.
I saw this, dated 10/04/23, but can't see confirmation anywhere else. Unless it has been posted here in the past....
The Lucknow discom, which was the first to cancel the smart meter tender in February, is yet to adopt the cluster route. It too has invited fresh bids but for the entire discoms and by dividing districts under it in clusters.
In the meantime, the Meerut discom has finalised the smart meter tender to a Central government agency that was found to be the L1 (lowest one) bidder.
“IntelliSmar, a government of India enterprise, has bagged the prepaid smart metering project tender in the Meerut discom after the price quoted by it in the bids was found to be the lowest and comparable with other states,” UPPCL chairman M Devraj said.
“Private companies too had participated in the tender process,” he added.
Anyone got further confirmation on what is going on with this contract award?
' I think JC said if CC had been involved from outset the £17bn costs so far would have been more like £4bn. '
JC cannot even share what CC are not doing in the UK rollout. He knows nothing about it, and CC are not involved, regardless of the Connode joke at the time.
We are honored to share that we have been recognized as a 'Dun & Bradstreet Start-Up 50 Trailblazer 2023'. This distinction is a testament to our commitment to #innovation, #quality, and #customer-centricity.
Our impact in the #smartmetering sector in #India has been substantial since 2012. With over 1.3 million #smartmeters using our communications infrastructure currently, we've become a significant player in the industry.
The focus of our discussions was bringing CyanConnode's customised solutions to Maharashtra, leveraging our experience of deploying #communications infrastructure for 1.3M #SmartMeters across 11 #Indian states. We are also considering options to facilitate manufacturing in the state.
Wait for it.......
