Tonyj, your statement 'I think CC in China was more involved with hardware than software. ' confirms you have no idea what CC actually do.
Read the RNS and DYOR!
From the 2019 MOU......
Fan Jianqing, GM of International Trade Department, Hexing, commented: "As a leading provider of advanced metering infrastructure, we are pleased to offer CyanConnode's IPv6-based Omnimesh solution as part of Hexing's portfolio. CyanConnode's RF Mesh technology provides a cost-effective, scalable communication network that can be integrated and deployed with ease."
Deployed with ease could be the clue. China have shipped 240 million meters since, and that's only confirmed up to end of 2021. NOT ONE of these has had CC inside. Shame these subjects aren't covered at the joke Q&A events eh.
The Buzz Words used that year was White Label. A more fitting term would be White Elephant. Along with Bangladesh, Ukraine, Thailand and UK non events, this one probably tops them all.
All of what you say could be right Vas. But even if CC are on the front grid, if I had the Genus decisions, I would be looking for a business partner that acts like a business going somewhere. Constant tapping up and dilution will never give that message. CC should be well past this, but the BoD always take the easy option, and the option that suits the BoD.
To be fair ITT, he does work harder than most at CC.
I'm sure JC has been licking his pencil all morning, trying to work out how to word the RNS tonyj.
Give him a few more days, it could even take up 2 lines, so might be a bit longer.
Which is looking more likely tonyj?
DYOR lol.
Genus Power Infrastructures Limited’s wholly owned subsidiary received two letters of awards (LoA) worth Rs 31.15 billion for appointment of advanced metering infrastructure service providers (AMISP) under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
The scope of work involves design of advance metering infrastructure system with supply, installation, and commissioning with field management services of 3.48 million smart prepaid meters, system meters including distribution transformer meters with corresponding energy accounting on design, build, finance, own, operate and transfer mode.
A bold statement would be find a Bank and get some grown up finance going. That's clearly above the pay scale of those that should be doing it, so another bold statement is get people in that can. JC has not announced that the BoD have no idea why this is tanking, which implies they know exactly why.
A good 6 years since the 'inflection point' joke was used. That got a few here most excited, come on JC, give us another one : ))
Any raise now will need to be at a significant discount I'd say.
At what point the board decides to run a business, rather than a lifestyle funfair, is anyones guess.
You should well know by now tonyj, India will say one thing and do another. Cheapest wins wherever they are, the Russian oil is flowing nicely in India.
RECPDCL Collaborates to Deploy 4.13 Million #SmartMeters in #Gujarat. IntelliSmart Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. Apraava Energy.
Yet again, anyone viewing these boards will have already read the RNS.
As ever tonyj, with every good news CC story, you can always buy cheaper if you let it sink in.
Market Cap close to halved for the 6 month period.
Guess it's not the right time to give details why just yet eh.
EVERY placing in CC's history is based on survival ! As they have never turned a profit, to spin it as an expansion need is an utter joke. The SP plummet is not engineered for a placing, it's an unfortunate market view of the company at this time. They might raise at a small premium, but that will be to the insti's, who will be so far underwater anyway they will have to support it. Directors will do the usual, and use their unearned bonuses for the headline buys. The Indian rollout has stalled and with the supposed huge increase in new staff costs, the cash burn here is likely to be its highest ever right now. So mcgoof, my view is CC are seen currently almost worthless, and probably close to potless.
KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 2): Pestech International Bhd’s unit Pestech Sdn Bhd (PSB) has received a RM21.17 million contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) for the supply and delivery of smart meters in line with TNB’s advanced metering infrastructure implementation.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Monday, the group said PSB will implement the project together with its other unit, Pestech Energy Sdn Bhd which is spearheading the smart metering infrastructure business of the group.
According to the group, the two-year project entails the supply and delivery of 79,800 units of single phase radio frequency smart meters together with 19,950 units of three phase radio frequency smart meters.
Into Q4 and only £4.90 off target. The next RNS will likely be JC saying he has no idea why the SP has gone through the floor : ) then follow it up with the reason about a week later.
You could never call this lot poor management, they are bleeding the Co. dry waiting for orders.
Money will always be invested in well run companies that turn a decent profit. Those that don't will be first to fall, as we are seeing now, nothing has changed.
Morning Vas.
Proof again that the install numbers have fallen off a cliff in India. The General Election will be held H1 next year. Modi's vision, and lack of action, will likely be well tested.
