You are over simplifying Indigo to sneer at the idea of an order closer being useful. If dealing with a sheikh you would need to be at sales director level within the company. You would need to establish a rapport and close friendship with the decision maker and really get to know them. This is done over a period of months or years. Then after the engineers and chemists have made their reports and recommendations you might say to the Sheikh "Is there any reason your Excellency why you would not place an order with my Company?"
A successful sales director will ask for an order not simply wait until one is placed.
In my humble opinion we desperately need an order closer.
(I feel a filter coming on)
