It's a bit early for that.' Answer- not here. The fact is that generally, people who aren't spouting ridiculous SP rises aren't welcome.

No, it's not a new poster you don't need in your life, it's anyone who disagrees with your opinion. If I had a pound for everyone who has posted starting with:-

'Potential catalysts' then I would be able laugh off the drop in the SP as if I'd just dropped 50p down the drain. I'm not predicting a tale of disaster here, just suggesting that the more optimistic people take their heads from up their backsides and see all possible outcomes. And when will some LTHs and board members wake up to the fact that everyone has a right to be here as long as they follow the rules, not just people who bought in for a farthing a share ?

No, I don't. You have made my point. Go back through this board, there were only a couple of people who said this would tank, and they got nothing but abuse for their opinions. What we do know is what I have just said, if good news comes it will have been expected by the market and so it will need to be better than expected, if it is not as good as you expect the SP will not rise to the level you hope, that is not rocket science. It still remains everyones choice on how they invest but the board must accept others right to an opinion. Until recently the only opinion that was allowed is '£4 by Friday' , that didn't happen and it's no good those people still saying 'I'm right and you're wrong' to people who had lesser expectations.

None of those things will 'Catch the market by surprise'. I'm amazed that so many people think that only us folk on this board know what GGP are working on.

I don't know whether or not SC is a tool or not but his posts are certainly making more sense and more palatable reading than just someone who comes on to insult people. You still haven't boasted about how much you lost apart from telling everyone that watching the SP drop in a manner that neither you or many others expected is a great time to buy more shares.

1459KH - You mention 'Jam tomorrow' . I did question a few weeks ago whether the Q2 results would bring about the much talked of magical figure of £4 as markets tend to factor in expected increases in profit. At that time I was given the usual often trotted out list of good news that was expected soon, whilst I have no doubt that person knows far more about mining than I do, GGP ceased to be just a miner when it listed on the ASX, it's a big boys game now, figures have already been revised down, the market knows we have Havieron and other possible assets, and as such it won't be just the doors that will need to be 'Blown off' for the SP to bring about the riches that some dream of. Fools Gold springs to mind.

SC - In situations like this the term conspiracy theorist is often thrown around, and it very rarely gives the person who raised questions like yours the credit for seeing things that should be considered before forming an opinion, instead people usually prefer to treat them as if they have lost their mind or just a trouble maker. You have like others raised concerns that we may or may not find answers to in the fullness of time, in the meantime you will no doubt suffer a torrent of abuse from people who only see a drop in SP as a reason to buy more shares on the assumption that if they keep saying 'it will be £4 by Friday, or £6 by Christmas' then one Christmas they will eventually be correct.

Victorocto - I see you are still finding time to insult people and brag about how much you have made since the drop, but not had time to tell us how much you lost on Tuesday.

Weeks of listening to stupid talk of 'it'll be £4 by Friday, £6 by christmas' and still people are talking about what they would accept in a takeover as if they think their opinion would matter.

TT - I think you will find that I said your knowledge is greater than mine, but that didn't stop cleverer people than me sitting on the same percentage losses. I will have to assume that you missed the meaning of my comment. Not being all knowing about mining doesn't mean I am wet behind the ears about people and the way the world works, we will have to see how this unfolds. GL

TT - You and many others on here have greater knowledge on GGP than myself but I think the answers that some are rightfully looking for will probably need to come from a wide field, not just one area.

SPEEDY - Firstly i'd like to thank you for a reasoned debate, there are too many on here who aren't interested in another opinion that goes against their own. I'm no great investor but smart enough to know that like most things in life there are others with more power and influence than us, however it does start to look like the update may not be the only reason for this situation, time will tell. Mentalmax - I totally agree about the gambling analogy, that is exactly what this game is, however you also seem to be in agreement with me that the favourite for the 2:30 should be in tip top condition for the race.

Well that depends on what happens next, and what happens next will depend on the truth behind why the ASX dropped it like a hot potato and it clearly didn't do too much for the people who have been constantly shouting that it will be £4 by this Friday.

Speedy - Whilst most of what you say is logical it has to be remembered that as demonstrated yesterday, GGP doesn't have to go bust to destroy an investors world. It doesn't matter what any LTH says here today about bounces, positives in the pipeline and no plans to sell, there isn't one who isn't wishing that they had sold their entire holding on Monday and maybe bought back in on Tuesday, they may not admit it but that is indisputable.

Wiltshireman - not as amazing as how wrong some long term posters were with their SP predictions after this weeks news.

Maybe the 9 months was a forecast of how long before it returns to last weeks level. BTW. I am aware that he has a record of negativity, but the board has a an extremely high number of people who have very strange and childish attitudes, that should be addressed before people are insulted or green binned just for having an opinion.
