Hi mystery...i am in same boat, took a hammering here and hard to see a way out unless lady luck shines big time. Anyway...here's a top 3 from me. Safe share....SEE, solid investment case especially given time. Medium risk....AFC, super duper prospects but they have let down before but they look poised these days. High risk....SAR, its taking too long and the market has punished but something big could happen there at anytime. Good luck.....hope mtfb can make it through and give us a chance to get back but who knows here!

Kettle, based on the fact that i.w posted from arpida stating it was an mtfb filing then yes i am being harsh....i should have also picked up that the comparison was liz and not vanc. That said, i will never be happy with the bod putting the company/shareholders in this position and they should have taken responsibility for that after the crl re salaries and placing in my view...least they could do. Who knows what will happen now but we are in a poor position and at this stage...it would seem to me that the bod a largely responsible for it...wether thats failure, poor comms or lack of contingency...it rests at their door is my view.

Furthermore...not make any contingency against it. Their conference call looks a complete embarrassment now and their lack of investment, participation in the placing and unwillingness to cut their cloths shows them up for what they are!

My basis is......that they are quite right to buy time to see if there has been any further movement on this and demand as much data, comms and debate to further justify their position. All along there has been a feeling on this that the fda maybe the red herring but low and behold, its not looking like that here now! Very well researched IW...just guessing but i think theres a chance you have hit the nail on the head there with these 3 sentences. To the uneducated eye...this would not seem enough to reject iclaprim but i can now see why the fda would use a crl now to buy time and ask for follow up data. I dont know what the mftb bod were thinking about here in gambling that it would just get approval. They have put their shareholders in a shockingly poor position imo.

I would never believe any conspiracy theory except when it come to money, drugs, oil and the US....then anything goes😁! Just ask yourself...most on here leading up to the 13th feb were 85-95% sure of approval. Why not 100%....every piece of the commentary released by the company indicated that it was very positive. I dont think its a case of the big boys buying mtfb.....for them and the fda, i think its more a case of they dont want a worldwide vanc monopoly risked and a cutting of the huge profits that come with it. Reference that bbc article....im always amazed that there are never any protests from the insurance companies..amazing! Play the game...some you win, some you lose i suppose.

Theres no difference, they are all feckin charlatans. Just gotta hope that afc deliver, the sp increases and the dilution is minimal and they only take what they need to tide over, if thats the intention and they pull it off.......then its very good. The problem is that afc are not delivering contracts up to now...and then its a problem for us. Its down to them to deliver....again!

One good, one not so good. That said, protects the long term position of the company. Its stand and deliver time now for sure!

Good post zim, there is no way that we can say there is a high chance of approval given past history, not only of mtfb but before also. That said....for the lucky ones who have dosh to buy at this level, this is a great entry point if you fancy a gamble because if it were to be approved and commercialised successfully then its worth some serious amount of money and you would think well sought after by the bigger players. Lets see if theres any reaction next week...might be a clue there.

Holy fack! Im not disputing any of that....i invested knowing that! I made a comment that the fda advisory panel made that statement after rejecting approval 17-2. I said i wish they had followed through on it because of the position we are now in. I did not say that they told arpida to discontinue. I have agreed that the fda seem to have encouraged mtfb to get cracking etc etc etc etc. But we cannot argue that the statement was made and im saying that it the history should not be important...but it might be! Who knows but i would have preferred that the bod gave an indication of how costs were cut and would have been more than happy if they took part in placing. I see a difference in tone...if others dont...fine!

So ian....are you also disagreeing with the link that ivy posted? You have been here a long long time fella and i am surprised that you are fervently trying to discredit what i state. What i stated...if people could be bothered actually reading is that now we have been given a crl...i widh that the fda had have been more forthright with their statement of not developing further....thats now that im losing loads. Ivy is correct....you cannot correlate then and now......thats why i invested ffs! But i do wonder reference the crl if that old rejection might still play a part in their thinking now and matching the bod's response makes me more suspicious.
