Not seen him around here for a while, taking it on the chin i expect but would have thought he wanted to comment on the possible group scenario.

I expect his mates are not taking this too well unless Mr T has been keeping them calm...anyone heard from the good doctor in the last few months or has he gone underground with srra?

The problem is that large pharma with their billions are not too keen on even parting with 10's of millions to companies like sar...i think tyk2 will get a deal, how good it is and what it looks like is another matter but theres no reason we wont spike to a penny....but thats not what any of us are really looking for.

The only way to get a decent return in a decent timescale and i say that after being here 10 years but i mean from now is sell the thing....the alternative is fairly uninteresting for me, we will get a good spike on a deal and you might be able to take some profit but the market will soon take us down again to a level they want us...then we can phaff around with the odd spike for a few years more??

I would think that some of the bod have said to her...if your thinking about buying any shares...do it now!

Not that much actually...if you include the srra payments it would be about 20m which is not a lot considering where they are imo.

Most holders here have been for many a year, like 8, 10, 12 etc....i think thats where the frustration comes from sometimes, we have felt we where close for a while....well i did!

To f with a deal....we got a deal 3 years ago and look at the mess we are in....still raising cash and diluting the ass out of the potential.

If tyk2 is as good as we hope and they indicate then get it and the rest of the company sold or theres a chance we will be in this exact position in 3 or 4 years, maybe more.

Enough now......tim and john have done their jobs, its time to cash for a good profit if we can get it.

The big boys will soon get the product out there if its good enough...we dont need that wait and risk...imo:)

Actually, now that the sp has come down to .3 the sar bods upcoming options are very expensive.

I think something like .9, 1.2 and 1.4 so even when the sp was at .8 they were fairly comeptitive.

The trouble is that sar have been going for 15 years and some options have been cheap in the past etc and both tim and john have loads of shares so there is no need to take these up but they are handy in a takeover situation.

Basically...we are fecked until srra move and the market knows where we stand!

Wholeheartedly agree with that, there should be no movement or negotiation with the payments...maybe cruk dont need the money but we do and our bod need to be strong in that that regard, you give them and inch and they will take a mile....i dont know, maybe we already gave them an inch and this is there play to take a mile and conserve their cash.

However, we have had 15 years of placings and death spiral finance....so give us a break bod!

Im jealous if you can top up now but baxter might have sold you his for a bit cheaper...no doubt he will be raging that the company have not bought any euromillions tickets for tonight....that 200m might have got us to profitability in his timescale!

He is and i would back him to deliver any day of the week but how good we will see.....great news re cash though, that takes the weight off a bit!

It just goes to show....srra raised quite a bit of money from taking chk1 on, now they are deciding to use that money to further montenelib (sic) while we are in limbo....the problem is that the partner with all the clout dont need the money and are not taking the pain like we are!

I suppose what im saying is that with undisclosed nda....you have a better chance of getting to the end of the process before any competition starts and you are in a much better position if no-one takes you on.....but also in a much stronger position to battle it out if someone does.

Thats true...it would not effect what your willing to pay but surely effects your bargaining position.

If your willing to pay 100 then your likely to open up at 60...or in the case of an aim company say 40.

However, if someone knows your looking and they come in with 80 (publicly)...that puts you on the back foot straight away....they will be offering 80 subject to dd unless they confident of public disclosure.

You cant then offer 60 and try to get it away as a good deal because you have done dd...we as shareholders and the market would not like it and the bod would be stupid to support it.

However, if you did dd and offered 60...even if someone came in with more, you might still get it away if you then had the support of the bod (you satisfied what they want) and they maintain that your deal better and it would take the new offeror a long time to do dd...if they wanted.

I have seen a few cases like this and the famous one 10 years ago or so was african minerals or something like that (camb?) where they managed to get it away despite higher offers...they had support of bod and some of the bigger holders insti who honoured the agreement.

I have not explained that well but i know what im thinking...hh

This debate goes on in all boards when there is such a lack of news but its rarely true that one is in place.

That said, if i had made an approach to a company with regards to taking a stake or making an offer, i would want an nda that was not disclosed also....any mention of an nda regardless of names mentioned alerts other interested parties thay the clock is ticking and fast...so there would be a good chance of being gazumped before you even completed due dilligence....you just would not leave yourself open like that unless you strategically thought that your competition could only make a low offer and the deck was stacked in your favour.

So who knows but i feel a lot more comfortable seeing bowens come in and buy that amount of shares with cash....if he does similar at the end of this month, i will be on it.

I wish we knew the real reasons why that truck went through the centre reservations on the m6 last week which caused chaos in this country because if that was due to nodding off see should link the 2 and make a company statement...gloves off time and it would tie in perfect for the euro announcement coming.

That incident must have caused 10's of millions!
