Hi stoney, Yes, pfizer are blazing and the one i mentioned before venclexta from roche/gen/abb...its a bit concerning how much faith they have in that and how aggresively they are rolling it out...they have cash, they have power and they have unprecedented influence. Don't get me wrong, there is space for more and there are side effects with these drugs that maybe we can improve if we make it but its a tall order. Thats why im so keen for SAR to sell something. We had 3 chances, effectively down to 2 but i would rather have one and a bit of a safety net so im hoping this is what the bod are aiming for. Its unfortunate that chk might take longer and as such, we will have to wait longer on milestones but some good efficaccy results could put it back into a saleable position soon enough and if so, the bod should grab the chance if it presents itself imo. Either that or sell tyk2 outright is my hope. Not expecting everyone to agree because there are pro's and con's on both sides but i like to think our bod are active just now. Not even doing 1-1's at jeffries was interesting but you never know with sar:)

Apologies, i thought were more referring to any type of bad language or behaviour on the boards re getting banned etc. Your right, not many boardrooms these days could be accused of sexism in any form. Glad you said most because if you look at the boardrooms of 21st century uk international companies like carillion, yell and jjb to name just a few, a couple of rants on a message board does not seem that bad to me. Carillion made 50,000 people redundant, turned their lives upside down, no pay off and thier pensions in a whole lot of trouble which the tax payer will eventually pay for...thats not too mention the 30,000 sub cons whose businesses and familys have been hammered and in some cases ruined. Or how about we just pick one out of the thousands on aim like afren whose directors have just been awarded 15 year jail sentences for stealing 200m pounds as blatant as you like...who paid for that when the share price went to zero. Theirs actually one today in faroe, dno have made and offer as low as they can and they will probably get it through, the bod will be fine if they support it but who do you thinks going to pay the price. Sounding off on a share board might not be very wise but it gives people a chance to express their feelings if they feel hard done by which is better than them bottling it up imo. I can tell you, there was not a single shareholder in afren who did not feel like they had been robbed, so the directors got jail time but no shareholder got a dime.

Anyway, although you could ask the oncologist about certain trials etc..depending on the results, they will soon map the correct path and i would never go against their advice. In my experience, they have been absolutely fantastic and despite whats sometimes said about the nhs...second to none imo. I have lived in a lot of countries although i have never experienced the health service in well regarded countries like sweden, norway, aus etc...but im more than happy with what we have in the uk, we dont know how lucky we are!

Without any holdings rns, you would have to say it might be the next placing being pre sold. Theres one thing i think we need not doubt now, pi's are not only at the bottom of the tree here but their interests are completely irrelevant to the bod. Mind you, their being consistent because thats always been the case with see and i suspect the real reason mike left the way he did.

Doubt if the market would usually be that concerned that the cfo is leaving and being replaced. However, bad news is following this company around just now and its creating a bad smell. All they seem to be doing is changing execs, failing performance, spending money and not making much progress! Some potential customers must be looking at them thinking...no, lets just keep things in-house...safer!

That compound is venclexta, its a phase 1/2 study in a jv between abbvie/gennetech. I suppose you are aware of this one thoth...they certainly have a lot of faith in it but quite a lot of side effects it seems?

Thoth...i would hazard a guess that this time hopkirk has sold, i think his last postings where just after chk1 deal time. He is prone to long hiatus though so you never know..i always thought he would have kept a bit in till the end. Anyway, roche announced last night that one of their compounds has been granted fast track for leukemia after a study but its hard to figure out if it was classed as a phase 1 study or not....in their study, it seems they where allowed to apply for fast track with an average of about 9 months of data. Does anyone have any thoughts on what it would take to get overian to a stage where they could apply for fast track?

Potnak, i will tell you what i think is bizarre...is that you think...that i think that by reading through your old posts that will make a deal come sooner..that's bizarre! How you can make that correlation, i have no idea. Do you believe in devils and dustins and fairy godmothers or something...santa claus is coming soon so thats one thing you knows coming before the end of the year. There's a very good reason why i dont go through thoths posts and that is because he is not accusing people of confirmation bias or saying that he has more realistic expectations and timescales than most on here....even if he has and he is right or wrong, it matters not to me...he's not throwing it at other people like you. I have not highlighted your posting history to prove where your expectations are wrong, all of our expectations have been wrong to date. I did that to demonstrate why you should not be disrespecting others by stating that their views and hopes are out of order and your assessments are on the money..which quite clearly they have not been over a number of years. Another thing, you seem to have this thing in your head that people are looking for ways to justify their investment but ofcourse, you know exactly why you invested. Again, i would suggest to you that people here know why they invested and why they have chosen to stay the distance. No nuggets, devils or dustins required, although i would concede, we could do with a miracle if jesus is around at christmas:).

Ahfam, each to their own. I have been 11 years now and up until 4 months ago, i would say that i did not feel downtrodden but things are becoming a lot more serious in my view. While i remain optimistic for chk1, the timescales are now becoming a serious issue..overian is light years away in our world even if it makes it..i dont think the recent failures are good news for us. Aurora is almost out the picture so we need to hope that something big comes for tyk2 and given that sar have virtually confirmed that we are going it alone in the next 18 months through to c.t., other than holding a vague hope that a deal might come during that time...its going to be tough. So yes, the timescales are moving, the whole scenario of how the placing was done and the aftermath of it and the fact that i think there is uncertainty about seeing a milestone in the next year then yup, i don't mind admitting it....i'm beginning too feel a bit down trodden with it all. I'm not in a catch 22 yet but i might be soon and thats a scenario i have always feared..one where i dont want to sell but i just have too!

Don't agree potnak...in march you said that you thought an nda was in place for tyk2 and the t.o. was on... In april you said it was always going to be 2019..now you say it was always going to be 2020, do you want to look back at what you said in 14,15 16 and 17:) In june you said that negotiations would not have started until after the wh ireland rns and in july you said that you did not think there would be a placing but when the placing comes you take great pride in saying you have been 'banging on about it for months'...quote! I would not normally highlight this sort of stuff because i have made the same incorrect assessments also but you seem to enjoy accusing others of having confirmation bias and believe that your the one with 'more realistic timescales and expectations' than most here but your posting history tells a different story! So..does changing your mind every year give you the right to say that your a better judge than a lot of people here...is there a need for you to feel that your calling it better than everyone else? Earlier you said that by the end of the year, apart from the agm you dont expect much...well, i dont expect anything...does that make me more realistic than you since i have less expectation? Don't worry warthog...i doubt anyone is going to jump down your throat at this stage and after the last placing. Even the most patriotic defenders are feeling a bit down trodden these days, it just goes on and on and on..... I cant even remember that advert...it was something for zanussi i think?
