Searle..i know who you are and how long you have been invested etc. Parker had absolute nothing to do with the chk deal and your comments re the mc increasing by 5m are not exactly precise...only a few months before we had an mc of 10m more and its moved up and down since. You see, what bothers me here is that a small part of your buying 111,111 - 888,888 *3.5m* was done in the 80's and around the time of mrs parkers buys...im not saying that was your reason but you were thinking like we all did that negotiation were ongoing......i did not buy at that time and have had a consistent holding for a few years now and have no need to sell but my beef is for those people who did buy there and in the 90's etc....for some of them, this has just worsened their position...its easy to say...well its gonna be ok because when the price gets to 1.5 everything will be fine.....well, i have been here for 10 years and its not ok....the only good thing is that im no longer underwater as much as i was during the YA time but i was for 3-4 years....and its a long way back so i dont know why you are so defensive of this. New options......i bloody hope not, for any of them! As a mark of decency and given the companies performance under his tenor as chairman, i think Parker should forfeit his current options until such time that he actually contributes something meaningful to the business....you know that thing he was brought in to do. There he is on twitter banging on about the rights and wrongs of this and that....take a look in the mirror fella, pot calling the kettle black springs to mind! This is the thing....some of these directors want money for just showing up these days and he got 10m for just signing on. Bring some integrity back into the business and boot him out the door.

The rns does not state hybridian and normally would, how do you know that? I think you are wrong about the hnwi...if our potential is as good as whats been stated and if they wanted in, we could have easily got .8 and it is a spectacular failure on parkers part that he could not...its not the case that all hnwi want a discount, i could name several shares we they have bought in at current sp....check the pxog rns last week if it floats your boat.

Im only desperate that the SP is down this far...and maybe the integrity of mitchell and reader which i have been defending for 10 years is not what it seems. They have always been rubbish with comms and we have suffered because of that but i see this scenario as a direct hit at existing shareholders who after years of supporting the company... I have no issue with the placing either except i think they could have got the money in a far easier way. As you say...they have suppressed a load of stuff and its seems to me that in order to get the money, they have went about it in a devious and cunning manner. My problem here is that the people who pay in this case where/are existing shareholders...which means they dont give an F who suffers!

While the need for a placing might be simple maths, the way that it has been done is not. All of a sudden we have a mystery 3rd party, we have parkers wife buying shares and as soon as that buying and selling was done, we had the seperate rns and the twitter campaign. Hey presto...big discount placing! Now, given what sar are telling us we have in tyk2 and given that our other lead product has entered ph2 and we should be receiving milestones...you would think that parker with industry contacts etc etc (at least thats why he came...was it not)...he would have plenty of hnwi he could approach and get 1 million quid of for 0.8....i mean its not as if its 20m is it....but no, here's a better way of doing it. Im concerned...im concerned that if we do not to go it alone....who are we going to end up in bed with and where will it leave us because it now seems we have a bod who really dont give a monkeys about shareholders!

Ah...maybe thats why your defending the discount so vigourisly searle....despite the fact that your chairman just delivered a cold one to existing shareholders. A complete artifice if ever i seen one! On second thoughts, i think they have been forward sold and this secret 3rd party has made a really good earner out of it...now i wonder who brought him to the party? I think she is holding up ok due to a lack of selling which has invariably been the case since the big hike nearly 3 years ago now. That said, i do expect the mms to have a go at some point..they always do. Have the shares been forward sold...trading for the last 4 or 5 month would maybe indicate so but who knows. It would be great if they were but that would mean the discount is even more baffling so i expect not. That was a very dirty stunt they pulled there and im surprised mitchell and reader went along with it...seems things are never as they seem and i will be less trusting in the future.

Good questions stisbury. 1. The discount is a disgrace if parker had any clout in the industry at all. 2. What im more interested in is who is this 3rd party agent and why sar have went down this route.....he's hardly got us a better deal HAS HE! 3. Why the board did not participate...could it be that they are sitting on a shed load of free shares as it is...or maybe the 3rd party agent already had enough buyers at the massive discount. It would have been embarassing for the bod to partake at such a large discount. However, not as embarassing as the chairmans wife buying shares to confuse existing shareholders and encourage them to believe that the company might be starting deal negotiations so we better get in quick...setting us further i hot water thsn we were 10 years ago when tyk2 was first discovered. I think parkers wife's buy encouraged the shares into .95 and nearly 1p...well thats 35% more than the places are paying. So come on existing shareholders, own up...who has just been done over by the very company you are invested in?

Potnak, i think you have lost your bananas. Big deal, you predicted the placing. Its hardly einstein stuff mate and most thought it might happen but hoped it would not. With regard to tyk2 potential....its not been anyone on this board thats been writing in the rns that discussions are ongoing or that we think we might have best in class or first in class...and whats are all them tweets about. All that said...im glad you think this is good news.

While there might be some truth in the posts below, to complete this placing at such a large discount is a spectacular failure in my view. Also, that 5k buy by parkers wife should be an embarassment to Mitchell and Reader. What...con existing shareholders who have already suffered years of hardship through supporting the company through its most difficult of times into buying more shares at a higher level. And then kick them down the road when it suits you with a disgraceful placing. Either the board are lying about the potential of tyk2 or its a spectacular failure. Take your pick!

Waste of space....contributed f.ck all for 2 and a half years except free loading on shares and salary. I hope there's no issue of options this year! Well regarded in the industry my arse....you were conned Mr Mitchell....damaged goods parker is, vote him out lol.

I have watched this share for nigh on 10 years, feel like i have been invested. Had my finger on the button at 10p and didn't...how gutted i was for a few years when i seen it rise and rise, i could not look after 50 convinced that it was going over £2. Anyway thats all history. I did not press either at 4.7 yesterday but as daft as it may sound, i have thought about the rns yesterday and the least that its done has given me confidence that their not gonna go pop and maybe just maybe, things are going well. Gonna have a small punt on her this morning and then go in a bit larger when something positive is released, seems safest strategy for time being. My...the aim game is tough right enough...gla.

Hi shep, My view is that the market knows the potential of sar and thats why its held in quite a tight zone...this share does not attract that much trading in my view and i would imagine hardly any shorting. To sum up, i think the market believes that the mc now is fair based on progress....when saying fair, its what they are currently willing to buy and sell at..not company value, very rare you would get all the company value in a current mc unless buying outweighs sells on a massive scale. Just need to sit it out and see what happens...all seems fine though.

Agree with the last 2 posts...while the ya drawdowns were a pain and i was gutted at the big 0.025 raise, they done it because they needed the money for chk1. They also went years on a pittance of a salary compared to their profession far less ceo/coo so cannot fault them for that and i believe they have managed the cash very well. If the right deal is offered, i dont think they will hesitate....so bring it on:)
