Im not disagreeing with any of that...i just cant see any independent testing by a 3rd or 4th party to help oems decide and its up to SEE to trumpet their superiority and advantage. The others will get better, especially if they commit enough cash...SEE have to make sure that they take the bulk of the prize in this first round to stay ahead and if that means getting sarcastic or downright dirty......then they should do it, first crack at this will set the scene!

I cant see any independent testing...the oem and their supplier will be doing the testing....its up to them to get it right and if not then they will get a poor rating. Hard hitting reposte from edwards but lets see if they have the balls to follow it through and name the chaff.....my guess is not!

Athansius....thanks for posting. It takes them ages to get anything to a point of readiness and when you think they might be near...another problem comes up and they go into hibernation on the comms side....very similiar to the southern deal strangely enough! Seems to be that this adam bond is just tip-toeing around and tinkering with a few bits here and there like a mad scientist...ala back to the future! Im really surprised that the big boys are letting him get away with it but maybe he has friends in high places:)

Thoth was on the ball with this about 18 months ago and i remember in sept 17 he found like a validation document that John Reader sent in whereby he explained why there are different characterists etc between tyk2 and aurora. The question was asked at the december 2017 agm of when the patent was expected and the bods response was that the agent thought it would take a year. If my memory serves me right, something happened on the original application in 2013 and that was resubmitted, we then received notice sometime in 2017 that the reviewers thought the tyk2 patent would be an infringement on our own aurora patent...hence readers validation submission. Although i never saved the link to readers document, i remember it well because it blew me away how complex this stuff is and what clever cookies our bod are...nicest compliment i have paid them in a while😉 The fact that an appeal date has been set is interesting and whatever caused that...lets hope that its done and dusted once and for all.

Fair enough DW...you have been here for ages and know a lot more than me but i have been reading the rns of the last couple of years over and over...and i cant make it work in my head. I know of the past problems also, so i just cannot see them getting there. Even although i like the sound of last weeks news, im indifferent to wether they can get going with it and my gut tells me there will be other reasons why they will be gazumpt out of it. I would like to think thats not the case but looks to me like their playing the game here!

Its not pure or incapable...or unacceptable for that matter. Whilst last weeks news was interesting, i have come to the conclusion that they cannot deliver anything tangible and deep down, they probably know that theres a good chance they never will....beat to the punch i think. Where are the other companies who were interested...nowhere to be seen and thats telling! When thats the case...bod's know fine well that the best policy is not to communicate. Their in a race but what they working with is too complicated for others i think.....companies like southern might show an interest because they need too but getting a deal signed and hard cash on the table is a different ball game and looks to me like it wont happen...but they will drag it out. The excuses within the industry then are easier but for sure...the market will take no prisoners. Im gonna watch with interest but it seems to me that the opportunity is passing them by...imo.

It might not be all bad...i think this would be the best way for colin and the new guys to go in big. Lets see how much stomach they have for the future...that will determine the chances now.

Peanut.....thats the point im making. Despite what shell do or because of what they do, makes them even more determined to be eco friendly and they spend big doing it. The change is coming wether shell or any other big oil company likes it or not so even if it is in contrast to their core business they will still support it...thats their culture imo and i have witnessed it first hand.

I think a lot of big companies will incorporate this type of tech into their fleet/office parking infrastructure also. To name one, i have done a lot of work for Shell over the years and they are proud of their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint which is quite ironic when you think about it but despite their industry, they are desperate to prove that they enviroment friendly and dont mind spending big money demonstrating it. A lot of blue chip will jump on this and it would not surprise me if one of them wanted a stake.

Colin, before todays news i would have said break even would have been a long hard road back but chances have improved a lot if they can get this moving before end of year. Massively improved if big jv comes.....dont see why not so hang in there.

Thanks bumble, im trying to get a handle on this. Its seems they have already 'trademarked' the name so thats a good thing. Surely, a breakthrough like this would warrant a patent or is it a fact that tech like this cannot be parented because its not novel enough? I mean, rather than an invention its an improvement using existing technologies? Haha....im not really sure what im trying to ask here:)

3 genuine questions for long termers here please.. Has this been fairly under wraps as according to the rns, they have been working on it for years? Is anyone aware of other companies pursuing this type of tech? Is it patent protected or will there be a patent filed? If they could pull this off...then it sure is a wow!

They should have done the decent thing...clive should have ceased his pay and colin dramitically reduced his before the agm...with a planned recompensation in the event of a takeover or more money coming in. The fact that they did not suggests to me that they know its touch and go wether the company survive this...so im ready for any old sh..to hit the fan, as if it has not already!

Sounds like wishful thinking to me but without it..what have we got! As for sitting back and putting their feet up.....well, the mind boggles because they are hardly being the most dynamic bod in delivering some sort of value back to their shareholders! As what is supposed to be the case...not providing the bod with a nice comfortable living. However, this is aim and the sar bod are nowhere near the worst but in the casino, the house always wins and the best we can hope for is a lucky night...or should that be knight:)

I took 76 for my 4k, happy with that....trbl by xmas and 10 bag by following one...game on.

I dont know, seems it might be marked down on open. I have a measley 4k for her and i would take 70 now so anything below would be a bonus for me, willing to ride it out. If its as good as whats been said, 10 bag in 2 years for sure. Gla all and well done long termers...nice big pay day in the coming months i think.
