The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Diverting back to Hull's original post; the GSTWebsite sections for GS Money & GSend seem to have been updated recently (ie the last 24 hours) from 'under construction' to 'coming soon'.
Not much of a change, admittedly, but a positive change nevertheless.

Damn fatfingers
New due any day now.. :-)
@Doggy100 There's no need for gold to be stored in an airtight container as it doesn't tarnish.
Re where to purchase from - its worth spending some time comparing various dealers to compare prices (and delivery charges). Atkinson's and Chards are high up on my list.
The rules around VAT & CGT vary depending on whether its Silver or Gold & whether its a legal tender UK coin or a bar.. some dealers have guides to this on their websites and its worth looking into as it will effect your purchase and resale prices.
CC
@Doggy100 : Gold doesn't tarnish, so no real requirements other than 'safe storage' (unlike silver which will react to sweat/oils from handling, and can also develop milk spots and tarnish over time exposed to air, so silver coins/bars are best handled with gloves [or not at all] and stored in an airtight container).
As a 'soft' metal Gold coins are prone to damage, but I don't suppose you'll be walking around with them in your pocket. If you buy say 10 Britannias they're likely to come in a plastic tube, and you can get protective plastic capsules for single coins to protect them from knocks & scratches.
When it comes to rare/collectable coins then condition matters massively. For bullion/investment gold the sale value is very much based on weight.
If you envisage handing your bullion coins down through generations then I suppose in 100 years time your Bullion coins may be valued higher if they're all in pristine condition, so worthwhile to store them well and handle them little.
What constitutes 'safe' storage is a matter of opinion, but as others have said; probably not in a bank, because if a situation arises where you need it, it might be because said bank has failed..
I'd also echo what others have said; for investment purposes just go for bullion-type coins rather than collectables (at least as an entry pont). Also, if it is investment gold your after, then don't discount buying pre-owned gold coins, as you might get these slightly cheaper than '22 Brits or Sovereigns. Many bullion dealers will offer mixed-date good condition pre-owned coins at a good rate.
Hope that helps.

Hello Herdie, hope you're well?
Yes, it's been a while. I thought 2020 was bad, but '21 was no better unfortunately. Had to step away from here and various other things as family & health took priority.
To bring it back to CBX, I'm hopeful the ingestibles might turn out to be some sort of cure-all.. ..if they started to make replacement hips I'd be made up.
You're invested here? Things are starting to get interesting.
All the best, CC.
Thanks for making me chuckle with your concise response/interpretation OAPK20!
Totally agree really; we've seen a significant rise here over the past 3 months, basically leading up to today's RNS, so those who planned to 'buy the rumour, sell the news' presumably would have sold on this morning's rise as that would be their trigger-point. If they timed it right, they've bagged and sold on an anticipated spike. Fair play if that was their plan.
Having bought on the IPO and averaged-down over the past year I suppose I could have done the same at some point, but I'm holding for longer-term gains. I was happy to buy-in at the IPO price and I'm still happy now. More so, now I've seen some of where we're heading.
It is disappointing/somewhat surprising that the SP dropped so much today, but for me it's just daily noise before we really get going - if I was short-term/day-trading I'd be annoyed. We have also been told that the main target is the post-Xmas 'new me' market, so the New Year should be interesting.
By mid-2022 I'm expecting to have a much better idea of where CBX is heading in terms of product / position and 'fair value' of SP.
I also expect this board to become riddled with derampers to nudge us 'little PI's' out over the coming months.... Today was a great example of that.
Anyway, I'm just ramble-de-ramble-ambling now, so I'll go and have my evening meal.
Regards, CC.
@dancingqueen76, I'm referring to your post in this thread from Mon @ 21:57;
"No doubt. None whatsoever [....] It’s highly speculative. All AIMs shares are highly speculative."
You also refer to AIM in another thread yesterday.
This stock is not AIM listed, it's LSE Main Market.
CC
More of a reader than a poster these days, but always a pedant; sorry DancingQueen, but I'm going to have to question your AIM reference(s) today : this is LSE Main-Market listed, is it not??
(Better bleedin' had be, else I'll be having words about inaccurate listings with my broker..!!)
CC
Evening all,
Not been on this BB for about a week or more, I think, and hardly been checking the SP (so once, or twice a day :-P - enough to know it's been.... interesting. Again).
I've got loads going on on at the minute - in a way it's nice to be busy, but I'm too tired to do more than I'm doing at the minute.
I've only read a couple of threads tonight, but thought I'd post here : really good to hear the same names (& some newer ones) being cited for keeping the good ship Argo on the straight and narrow.
Wild ride, hey.

Hodl for the Godl & always keep sight of the fundamentals :

Oi Delacey....
Watch it...!
:-D
[My coin collection very much extends to crypto these days, thank you.
But. I do still. Like. The old coins.
Young-head Victoria is actually a babe.
Some old coins are shiny.
Some old coins are dull, but also rainbows, in the right light.
Copper smells nice and fights bacteria.
Gold is stoopid-heavy
.... There's more ....]
But the WHS collection range is pap, I'll agree on that.
CC
Yes, and the National press are just starting to wonder what a CBDC is....

Let's all just try not to get too sheetfaced before everyone else arrives at the party..

[*Continuing with the RC inspired off-topic;
My 'serious' road bike is a custom-build on a Rondelli frame. I say 'custom', I bodged it together.
Ron Spencer, Time Trialist extraordinaire, designed his own range of frames, which had a bit of a reputation for being uber-stiff. Good for power transfer, I suppose. Shame I didn't really have the power.
I can only imagine he called them 'Rondelli' to evoke thoughts of Italian mountain stages rather than.... plugging along the A49 through Warrington, where his shop was..]
Ha! Weirdo cyclists.
I drifted the other way, from purely cycling, to triathlon, to mtb / adventure racing, and have recently rekindled a fascination with flatland bmx.... figured at my age it's probably last-chance saloon on that, and I can go back to time trials later. I spend more time falling off really.... I also blame the 'lockdown' effect, as most of my more exciting hobbies have been put on hold....
CC
Yes, seriously.
I certainly don't expect the CEO of any company to do so, but going by the last.... several RNSs (it is several in series, but I really can't be bothered checking), the fact that one has not been released today is actually surprising.
Best comms from any company I know.
I don't feel like I need them, as I'm happy to buy and hold, but it does give additional info and people do seem to find them reassuring.
CC
Busy today, but I checked enough times to see the SP spike to 250 on open, then immediately drop back, and looks like it's pretty much stayed in 'that channel' all day. Which I agree is frustrating, given the really impressive numbers. All I can surmise is that there is still some sold stock to shift, and importantly, that the majority UK market still just doesn't get it. More fool them, but they need to catch up to create some demand here (and share the profits!).
Yes, we're all awaiting NAS-listing, but that news can - and will - only come when it can, and it's out of our, and PWs, control. I do think that mainstream listing will cause a big push up from Stateside, as it literally opens the floodgates for trading.
Agree also that the lack of video after the RNS is out of character.... which might mean a whole lot of nothing, or a whole lot of something else coming. This lack of 'additional comms' (which we've all got used to) feels to me like there is still something pending for this month, but I wouldn't want to guess what, as it isn't necessarily NASDAQ. Shortest possible route in, and it could be....
Feels like I've been here long enough now to know that Argo does not hang around : while we've been filling our faces with chocolate and ..stuff.. we're already a week into April mining and business deals. Sentiment here is very much focused on BTC and NAS, but don't forget our diversification plans (both known and TBC), and the huge - in size and potential - clean, green TerraPool site.
Not sure whether I'm in the Cult. I have the hoodie, and continue to buy the dips and Hodl for Godl, so I guess so. Of all my cults though, this is one of my favourites.
Onwards Argonauts!

I want THE MOON!
I think we're ok for now - pretty high trade volume for ARB so far today, considering no news.
Maybe clearing the remainder of the suspected overhang from 'our big seller'?
Also - Not Just a BitCoin Miner....
Tomorrow could be very interesting.
CC
Think I went D+2....
:-D
DOT's broken $40 now as well - I sold too early at $38.... Bank Holiday effect?!
Meh.
Great thread again RC.
Didn't TrekMadone previously post here? (AKA Trek £1!) - that would be a good match up for you RC [a Trek Madone is a pretty serious road bike for those who aren't aware].
Actually, I've been meaning to ask RC (whilst we're off-topic), what's in your stable? I'm presuming a single/fixed, and a 'serious' road bike at the very least?
