and how about a resolution forcing the directors to put their money where their mouth is?
Sharelock, the OO part of the placing didn't cause the enormous drop....come on. And besides, it was shareholders present at the AGM who pushed for it.
Slightly different in terms of how we bring all the elements together, that being the only USP either company has in the absence of unique technology, along with first mover advantage. Again, hint hint Nuog, how about following Tigre's lead and providing a bit more detail...
From what I recall Sharelock supposedly our approach differs slightly from that of Tigre and that effectively is our USP, which ties in with thoughts in your last post. You would think if that were the case then it would be touched on in official comms....hint hint Nuog if you are reading!!
NowtNu, fair play but unfortunately this is more than a gamble for a lot of us as we are already heavily committed. Certain parts of Alison's video today make me think they may well pull a deal off this time....my concern is if that doesn't cause lift-off then there isn't really anything else to hope for! As a holder I must remain optimistic and today's interview does at least offer some hope....
I certainly hope so, Sharelock, although if that logic is applied then why hasn't the latest news flow seen us back in the previous trading range? Nothing has changed since then other than the Novum f*ckwits and in fact there have been more developments so we should in theory be higher than the 60's range we had previously settled in. You logic may apply and I hope it does but by the same token it makes you wonder if and what will actually shift us again.
Agreed Wob and I'm just hoping they haven't burnt investor bridges to the extent that even a deal won't have the impact most of us need just to break even. I still don't understand how the market can value it at a certain level and then just because a shady broker saw an opportunity, we mysteriously remain trading in the new range chosen by them.....can't get my head around that at all.
Looks like they really are being punished for unfulfilled past promises. There was a time when the latest news flow would have seen this rocket. Unfortunately this buoy has cried wolf/deal (wolfy deal? dealy wolf? wolfy dealy? dealy wolfy?) too many times now.....ridiculous that we are being valued in this new range just because Novum bent us over a table. So the previous range was just a bit of finger in the air stuff by the market or what?!
Decent interview and things are sounding a lot more settled and a lot less bullsh*tty than previous interviews. At the risk of bringing gender into it, I also think it's a good sign having a female MD. It may be stereotyping but as a general rule women are less likely to get involved in scamming and cowboy shenanigans, so I take it as a positive that she's now one of the faces of the company and willing to go on video discussing progress.
Lol NowtNu that was actually quite funny. It does feel a bit like a cult getting too close to the truth at times with these boards and Nuog and the way both operate. I just hope the company gets a bit too close to the sp-flying truth one of these days.....surely 17 consortium members makes a right??
Good idea Wob. Hadn't thought about the Petrofac agreement being linked to a specific field but makes sense and would also explain why we've got yet another collaboration agreement that overlaps some of the scoping work Siemens were supposed to be helping us with. Certainly not complaining that Petrofac have seen fit to sign the agreement of course but as usual with Nuog the jigsaw pieces still need to fall into place.....hopefully the optimists are right and this is the start of some proper newsflow this time....
Thank you for addressing this question in a constructive way, YT. It's something none of us seem to have a clear answer on and it's down to the company to address it, otherwise we end up with overtly positive posters conveniently skirting it or overtly negative posters putting forward unratified theories as fact, both of which are agenda-driven and unhelpful. If the company reads or is present on these boards then it would be helpful to have some clarification please, and consistently omitting #Nuog from MFDev tweets isn't exactly filling shareholders with confidence either!
On a lighter note, some more 20% days wouldn't go amiss, if you'd be so kind :)
I agree with the first two lines there Starbuck; nobody knows for sure what will flow to Nuog or when. Hopefully official comms will confirm although I suspect they will indulge in some good old glossing over in the midst of any excitement around the first deal, if and when it arrives.
Starbuck, you seem more interested in scoring cheap points than answers to your endless questions. I find sharelock's posts consistently too positive to be a normal holder affected by recent share price decimation, however, he goes to the trouble of posting solid arguments and research.....pitted against arguments such as 'you waited until 7.04 to post that' I know whose posts I would rather read.
Hahaha SBP....was catching up on the weekend's scintillating nuog GoT and your Raab post made me chuckle. Firstly I think there is a disturbing amount of focus on Simon's appearance and secondly I agree regarding the likeness haha
Sharelock, as I'm sure you recall, one argument at the time of the placing was that the share price had been destroyed to allow a certain person in on his terms (ie low levels) after his request before departure had been rejected. It was all conjecture of course but you could see the logic.....as yet it hasn't come to fruition, however, so presumably was just, a theory.
You would hope not Starbuck although with no significant skin in the game, company employees don't suffer share price fluctuations/decimation in the same way shareholders do. I'm not dredging all that stuff up again but, as I said, do some reading from that period and you'll see the logic behind the theory, mostly surrounding the circumstances of departure of the outgoing Chairman. I'm not saying I believe it, just that there has been no evidence of it; it would be pretty low morally to engineer things in that way but would at least indicate some belief in company success.
Contrary to the niche kinks some seem to have on here and other boards, I wouldn't be posting if I had sold out.....
Starbuck, you might want to do some more of that reading malarkey again......there is history behind that assertion and whilst it may not be accurate, it also wouldn't be a huge shock if it were true in light of the chain of events leading up to it.....
Fair points again but all of that has been true for every year the company has been in business....those incentives are no more relevant now than when they started and yet they don't seem to have incentivized much so far other than a general willingness to milk £40m of other people's money.
I'm conscious I'm becoming overly negative but a sensible chap like yourself knows to read signs and as yet there are none of the usual signs to indicate the imminence of a deal and, given the history here, it would be nice to have more than bb 'feelings' and company rhetoric, neither of which have proven accurate to date.
I'm hoping you're party to something the rest of us aren't as nothing else I've seen today is convincing me I'm afraid....
So why no more company skin in the game? It's an old one but a relevant one. If you're going to introduce terms like 'ten bag' and '600%' again when we're sitting on huge paper losses then why aren't the staff trying to line their own pockets, or indeed the fabled Minty equity conversion that supposedly was one of the reasons for decimating the share price in the first place? I'm afraid I don't buy the 'closed period' argument as that card has been played too many times and months if not years have passed in the making of these deals, so plenty of opportunity to get in if they were that confident in delivering.
I'm not plumbing the depths of ****ging my own investment again but I think these are all valid points for discussion before we start bandying around huge upside figures again, much as I'd love another 600% day!!
