Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
Nowt, what is Simon's salary as it gets slated a lot but how much is it exactly?
Bill, I meant Wobwat's post listing points that we could/should negotiate for at the EGM
Good man, Bill. What do you think of Won's last post? I think it's on the money and genuinely feel as many as possible should get behind it. We aren't hamstringing them with those requests, just looking for imposed reassurance from them in the absence of the voluntary reassurance they should have been providing up until now.
Wob, I think you're bang on with that idea and I think as many as possible should get behind it. All of those points are reasonable and why shouldn't a legitimate company supposedly on the verge of news look to assuage its shareholders in the face of what appears to be another means of shafting? The issue is how do we propose those things by proxy or would anyone be willing to table at the meeting? Agreeing what they want but asking for something reasonable and logical in return would show them for what they really are....legitimate businessmen or cretins.
Merchant, although your points would be welcome if true, you speak as though everything is a certainty. Many Nuog champions have fallen from grace off the back of such self-assured predictions....any reason why you should be different and also any reason why they would only place if there's a deal and not because more time has passed and they need OPEX funds??
Good on you Bill and kudos for trying to get some answers. Would you be up for asking when they plan to put some skin in the game themselves and why they've put next to nothing in up until now?
I'm of a similar mind Wob although won't be going to the meeting...have given enough of my time and money to this share without any real evidence (other than endless words and promises) of the company doing the same. We are ridiculously close now to consolidation levels and I think if that were to occur then I really would be making it personal and holding those concerned to account.
It's just the usual cryptic wording as to why they are doing this which, as they well know, leaves open the possibility that something positive might be in the offing. To quote the great Alf Stewart: 'flamin mongrels, the lot of them'
Anyone going?
It seems MFDev are happy to leave us out of their news and tweets but when it comes to the good old cash call, they want a very open dialogue indeed.....
Sharelock, if they need the funds (and therefore the change) for an imminent MFDevco deal (and that is the justification you are giving for today's news, even though the company doesn't see fit to mention it) then why do they need the funds from Nuog for that imminent deal? What happened to the SPV?
I agree that there is a possibility something else is afoot and prompting this, Sharelock, which is why I'm not in a car on my way to Manchester as we speak. However, there is also the possibility that there isn't anything else afoot and they just want cash whenever they see fit. As usual, the wording is ambiguous and misleading and I think they actively employ that as a strategy in the hope it will divide shareholders and these discussion boards in the way it does....at least then only 50% of shareholders are out for blood.....
And also interesting that you pick up on changes by shareholders being detrimental and yet the fact the company just keeps milking PIs year after year without delivering anything just washes over you and isn't detrimental at all....intriguing....
Interesting that you've taken a positive stance on it again; there's no chance in hell you're a normal PI here. My guess is company employee or paid poster. How could you quote that section without picking up on the crucial line 'each time a non-pre-emptive placing for cash is undertaken'.....no alarm bells ringing at all? None? Not any?!
True Wob, yet again looks like they've tried to time things in their favour rather than that of shareholders. So basically they are now just looking for permission to dilute us to b*ggery on the basis it makes no odds to them how many shares are in issue?
"In addition to equity investments in projects where appropriate opportunities and funding are identified, one of the key avenues that Nu-Oil can pursue to achieve its strategic intent is through its investment in Marginal Field Development Company ("MFDevCo"). "
Does this part rankle with anyone else? Firstly it doesn't actually make much sense and secondly, there is nothing else on the table at present other than MFDev G2W so as usual just more meaningless words. Minty played a stormer timing his exit on this one....they should rename Graham 'fall guy' in all future comms....
Agreed, and most likely before that
I know Wob but I don't believe marbur posting his usual ramblings has any connection to the chunky sells this morning....I suspect they came from someone with even lower moral standards.....
Out of interest, Sharelock, why does this suddenly make sense when you have spent the last weeks evangelising the SPV as the new solution to our financial woes and conveniently sidestepping how Nuog OPEX will be covered throughout all of this? I think today we have a more definitive and logical answer.....
Well if marbur was party to insider knowledge, which I highly doubt, at least he saw fit to make people aware, rather than singing the company's praises whilst concurrently selling, which is a more likely source of this morning's pre-RNS sells.....
No, the drop was caused by the placing.....shares always drop after placings, as you know, especially within weeks/months or assuring shareholders there were no placings in the pipeline.
