Hope is running out, but not worth selling, as down a very high % after investing in 2016, and too late for 'Beginners Luck" as well passed that epoque !! Can't understand why there are sellers as must be selling at a loss and this new business hasn't even been given a chance yet !!
Fromage, "it could be made illegal to buy shares in such industries; who knows ?" Well, I know !! Utter rubbish, think of the implications of that re Pension Funds, Share Options, shareholders outside UK to name a few !! If Labour mistreat the Oil and Gas industry to the point that certain cos would be better leaving the UK, then certain cos will leave !! Cost v Benefit as always !!
I have strong confidence in BP in next 18 months.
All, how vulnerable are FXPO sites and offices to a Russian attack and could these legal claims wipe out FXPO ? I've been watching and waiting to buy, but held back by these concerns.
No1Scarlet, whatever about Technicals and Resistances for day traders, I can see this hitting 200p by May (2024 !!). Easter flyaways, more info re Summer bookings, Interest rate cuts starting soon to enhance confidence and dispisable income, fuel hedges mean current oil price less relevant, etc ..
Greygeorge, if you google a little bit, not too much mind, you'll find that the PV xx can be any discount factor deemed reasonable for the scenario. PV20 is mentioned as well as the range PDP PV10 to PV20. PV17 gives a lower Reserves NPV than PV10 so more prudent
Troajan, great link. I suppose our resident expert the great greygeorge assumes Stifel is in on this alleged massive 'con' with Randy and the DEC BoD !!
"Stifel reiterated its Buy rating with a 2,800p price target against an 881p price at publication."
greygeorge, from recent fin stats "highly synergistic and accretive acquisition of oaktree interest
key acquisition highlights
• consolidates working interest in existing dec operated wells in the central region by adding ~510 bcfe of pdp reserves at an attractive value of approximately a pv17 of pdp reserves (pv10 value of $462 million)(k)"

SavvyInvestor, we're talking over £4m here which, if she believed would be much more in the short-term would not have sold, so is not pocket money for a nice weekend. £4m would be for an investment elsewhere which she obviously considers a better investment than DARK shares. Money is not always for simply enjoying life oneself, but can also be for leaving for children to have a better life. If one needs £4m to enjoy life then one has serious mental challenges !!
Notrex, what would you have done differently to Rusty given the Shorters' attack, falling gas prices, limited cash resources for buy backs, higher emissions' regulations, etc... ? He had to keep stakeholdets 'sweet' at the same time, look at the European politicians and a CEO has a strong business political role as well !! Personally, I wouldn't fully trust anything said by a business or even by the Vatican for that matter !!
