Couldn't such a Saudi strategy be self defeating as the US fully replenish their SPR and support the small US oilies whilst prices are very low and Saudi wastes huge volumes at low prices ?

PIKEMAN, I'm with you on HOLDING. I won't be bullied into selling my share of a quality business until it's at a fair value. This constant fall in Paper value is annoying but you don't sell your house just because it's halved in value when you know the value will go up again !! Might take 5- 10 years, but recommendations for share investment usually say at least 5 years !!

Hi Trek, I also hold PHNX and it is highly undervalued !! Selling and buying back, ie Trading, isn't as easy as you say. I have enough invested here and won't invest anymore !! Also there are CGT rules re selling at a loss and buying back the same share within 30 days where you can only then use the loss against a profit you might make, otherwise it can't be used, etc..., all to restrict bed and breakfasting. DEC is temporarily out of favour and I simply have to be patient !!

Jim800, this use of 'your' instead of the correct 'you're' seems to be the new lazy trend to minimise keystrokes at the cost of 'image' though many care not about image !! We all make typo mistakes sometimes- I've the dreaded fat finger - but I feel that one's writing reflects who one is even if many don't care. I never use spell checkers either because 'there and their', 'dont and don't', etc... seem to be accepted interchangably.

Steviewonder, I think you could have 500 years trading and investing experience and still not be able to predict accurately the price movements here !! I saw it was around 380p earlier and thought great stuff !!, only for it to mysteriously fall back to c 360p by close. No news !! It's like a Boiler temp range that moves between an upper and lower temp !! There must be some sort of illegal control / manipulation here for traders to successfully move this price up and down to gain from it. With different and separate traders and investors the theory is that there shouldn't be collusion, but without any news or other reason to move a price like today, it's highly suspicious !!
