Nicknaim, UK stk market isn't overpriced, yes some shares are a bit high, but many are even underpriced. MNG has more to go up I reckon. Today's drop is compliments of Jamie Dimon's big mouth re some vague quality of debt growing problem !!

Donalb, looking at the share price drop today, I wonder is there another ex-div day today ?!! Can't see any other reason for today's drop, with what's going on in the World one could assume more and more will be smoking !!

Well, if we're headed back up to Morningstar's current highest last 52 week price of 495,070.00p showing on ii's records (their feed comes from Morningstar !!) we'll all be -millionaires !! I've complained to ii about it as London Stock Exchange show 533p as the highest last 52 week price !!

Definitely Yes. Peel Hunt, JPMorgan and Berenberg have commented on ITM Power. From small acorns do mighty oak trees grow and if these Analysts are spending time on ITM then they deem it worth it !! Accuracy of their analysis is hard to judge because, in general, Analysts aren't overly accurate anyway whether it's Astra Zeneca or ITM Power !!

BPinvestor, Donald Trump has mental issues, that's a more than less fixed view by many, think Nero of Rome 2 centuries ago. The US needs a progressive tax system, in order to rake in more taxes to reduce their Govt deficit, and both main parties are avoiding one like the plague because the very rich donate lots to these parties. Some billionaires are even calling to be taxed more !! Human beings never cease to fascinate me !!

Agree Northy seems a bit of a joke, but we all look for reasons of course to understand drops of the size of today. Things I saw were India's Adani saying they'll be investing $100b into data centres in next yrs or so, but surely that's a positive ? Also, JPM's long holding went over the 5% last Fri, another positive !! FCA said recently they're increasing transparency of trades, etc..., well they'd want to get a move on to highlight the manipulation going on in some quarters !!

Gerry557, we all make mistakes and best to learn from them but mainly to assess overall investment performance. If you like some extra risk have a look at ITM, a green hydrogen energy share well padded cash-wise, currently in a consolidation phase, but I'm confident gearing up for a blast off as it increases customers and contracts with another one announced today.

Svend, one's age obviously can impact one's investment strategy, eg if one is 99 yrs old it isn't practical to invest long-term unless focusing on returns for those left behind and confident that the latter won't simply cash in when one dies !! No, I'm not 99 yrs old in case you ask, not 89 or 79 either !!

Div-investor, looks like BYIT has bottomed out alright. Think it has dropped recently because of the AI obsession, however BYIT already uses AI a lot and could probably benefit more by cutting staff which I would suspect could be announced when they next report. If the latter, within a broad growth strategy, then there'll be a nice share price bounce !!

Jds15, I agree !! At the end of the day, we all end up either feeding the worms or blowing in the wind !! Everyone has different needs and wants, and fortunes and indeed life itself can disintegrate very quickly, enough examples everywhere these days !! No point being the richest person in the graveyard if one has nothing else !!

You're probably right as BATS and ULVR were unusually very volatile today after Results, but wonder could it be because AI hasn't been fully "trained" yet for stockmarkets. Such volatility will benefit trading platform shares like CMCX and PLUS !!

Driftking27, that "world in peril" statement was made by a techie who quit Anthropic because he felt that his morals were compromised by programming the AI and that the world isn't keeping pace with developments required to keep AI under a morally healthy control. I'm sure that ULVR and MICC are keeping well versed in AI developnents that can improve their profits !!
