There are worries that ITV will have to spend too much on streaming to catch up with competitors Netflix, Disney, Sky, etc...or otherwise simply won't achieve in that area. There is still the traditional TV and drama production. Future Advert income also tied up with streaming success. The Madame in charge also isn't respected enough by the market to achieve the success required....However, ITV has been viewed as a bid target for years and it's surprising that none has appeared at the current sp.....Still making profits and paying a dividend so we live in hope !!

big-blue, disagree strongly re cheaper price for RR if there is a bid from BAE. Indeed, the jump in RR's sp yestrerday could and should be investigated if info was leaked illegally from within RR or BAE (if BAE involved). I think the jump is due to the EU meeting re reducing EU dependance on Russian oil and the strong possibility that nuclear generated power will be speeded up for many countries in order to avoid use of carbons. The system that RR will develop could make a very large profit and many countries, previously against nuclear energy, are now considering it as a non-carbon cheaper pewer alternative. IAG needs to start looking at raising its fares, don't know what oil price hedges they have, but their fares are far too cheap V current oil price. Competition fares are very relevant, but there are extras that could be given to appease customers who fly mainly on lower fares. 'Free' snacks, better movies, etc.. a better flight experience with a better brand would entice more to be willing to pay higher fares and not just fly based upon cheapest fares. Customers forget that cheapest fares can mean the cheapest airplane maintenance !! I've put a strong buy for both RR and IAG !!

Hi Markgo, we still need to drive, to fly, to heat our homes, to produce in factories, etc...The IEA firmly believe in success for oil this year. Re Omicron, the Chinese are being OTT, the variant no worse than flu, accept can kill vulnerable like bad flu does. I have BP, SHEL IAG, BA., RR., SSE, allowing a nice balance. Putin needs to die, doesn't matter how, I'd have no qualms contributing to hiring mercenaries who could complete the job. Osama bin Laden was rightly murdered - we all saw the video - Putin has now killed more than ObL did of his own Russian troops alone. Convicting Putin of war crimes without killing him is of little relevance. If he's allowed time to escalate to nuclear war, then all our shares won't matter, doubtful that Heaven or Hell have stockmarkets !!
