An investment should always be from "now" - even if you have held for years, you should assess the situation now and decide if it is something you want to buy/sell/hold. GRL is at 0.95p now, with a mcap less than 10mil. Production is increasing. To be level with CMCL on production, we'd be looking at 355 oz a month (6388 / 18). We're above that. Obviously other factors to consider, but on production only GRL is undervalued vs CMCL.

CMCL is certainly further along the road but is valued 18 x as much as GRL so not really a fair comparison. Also they aren't providing monthly production rates, but seem to otherwise set a good example. 6,388 oz a month by the looks of things. Certainly seems a safer bet, but are they likely to double their output/share price? Certainly more risk here, but possibility of more reward also.

I don't think there's many companies where one could be 100% confident in the CEO and board. Can the poster give us an example of a company we should have 100% faith in?

Yes I agree the company needs to get better with their comms for sure. They seem to work to a different calendar than I do, and switching between dore and bullion means it is hard to know what we are being told. Dore seems to be 85-90% bullion, but it's left to interpretation. Perhaps they haven't converted it to bullion at the date of the RNS - who knows?

I do completely understand the frustration, and those that have held for several years will well and truly have torn their hair out I'm sure. But look at the price of gold go - a thing of beauty.

I see 3 to 5 p as a realistic and achievable target - really it should be that price now, but as you say the company needs to get a bit slicker in key areas - meeting the targets they have set themselves, comms, and other share price supportive activities. I think most sentiment is price driven. As we are currently low it's doom and gloom, but if the price was on a run the sentiment would be completely different, and although the company can influence this (and currently isn't influencing this in a positive way), it is also out of their control.

Bought a good few more, got a bit spare if it drops back again - weak hands please hurry up and capitulate so I can get a good price, I want these under 1p.

I didn't really want to buy more but I think I'm going to have to, these prices are silly and completely disconnected from fundamentals. Anyone would think gold had crashed.

Pretty sure most miners have underperformed bitcoin low to high from Dec 2023 lows. So maximum risk and lower gain. Thanks UK gov for not letting us invest in bitcoin in our sipps and ISAs, really forward thinking.

Although the price of gold running up looks bad for the loan, overall it is good for the company as they cover their costs easier and have more spare gold at the end of the month to use to pay off the loan.

Yeah agree Jimmy - most will be gone in the next bear. It has been a disaster (well not a total disaster as we're hopefully all still solvent). It turns out MSTR was the much better play this cycle - although I think they'll suffer in the bear also. Not long term holds.

CANG - yes I think they are dodgy - some sort of pump and dump. However I did do a profitable trade on them a couple of weeks back - but not comfortable holding them too long so I closed that trade.

Totally agree that it was a good deal at the time, but would argue it's not a good deal now - 14% on an increasing asset - and they should look for options - maybe they have looked and can't find better. The 30% ownership number keeps getting touted so presumably they'll do a bit more and take the ownership up to 30%. Otherwise hopefully they carry on with increasing output and can start making a serious dent in this to signal to the market that it is handled.

So today's announcement states they owe 2,266.63 ounces, which at 14% is 317.32 ounces per year in interest, or 26.44 ounces a month to stand still. This is entirely achievable, and hopefully they will chip away at this and bring it back down towards 2000. Better still they would look to re-finance the loan as it looks unfavourable terms today with gold being about twice the price it was when it was taken and the rise in gold price is making it worse than the high interest rate. If they hit their 1000 target then it becomes a lot easier though, but I don't know the ins and outs of the loan in terms of flexibility in paying it down or paying it early.

Yeah market definitely likes to toy with us.

It is not being sold off, equally it is not being bought up. The price moves on nothing.

Corrumpo to me in the recent video she looked socially awkward rather than shifty, I think she wants to make something of this - that's the impression I got.

I dispute the figures given though in AI's response of "25% of people reportedly use generative AI for at least an hour a day" and "with estimates suggesting an increase of over 400 million users between 2024 and 2030" - numbers don't add up. Still better content than some of the stuff on lse I guess.

Looking at the timing and price that would be a buy not a sell.

1mil shares is only 10k at the moment, you should expect multiple trades of this size every day.

You can tell pretty easily when something is AI generated, and sometimes it is accurate, and sometimes it is not. I find the whole thing disturbing though. It's not going away though so better get used to it I guess.

We're still at tiny share trade volumes so I think it's just not on people's radars.

Does anyone know if they have ever considered an additional listing such as OTC in the US?
