The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes place tomorrow with guest speakers from WS Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
It is with a heavy heart that i will no longer be reading or posting on the Tui share chat.
When the RI started there were some fantastic constructive conversations on this thread with thoughtful help and advice given by the likes of Hexam and Co. But now this thread as we can all see has descended into one of insults and jibes, which help no one
So for me it's time to say goodbye.
Thankyou @hexam for all your advice - it was spot on and very helpful
Oh no, i've just seen this crash in the share price today
I was considering at the start of the week banking my profits on this one but then had a family crisis I had to deal with.
Now my shares are down 20% instead :(
Hi,
T212 have just this minute credited me with my RI shares, so hopefully Marcinkus everything is in process for you with your broker too
My Avereage price has come down from £19 to £9 but i think it will be a very long time before I break even
Just to heads up to anyone using Trading 212
A friend of mine has just messaged me saying that even though T212 took money from his account on 1st April to purchase the rights next Monday, today they have sent him a note saying they actually sold his rights at a value of 58p per share on 11th April.
Might be worth any T212 users having a check of their accounts as i will do asap myself
I have had this stock for 3 years now and have been a very loyal investor, so I am praying next weeks trading update is good news.
It will be a long time before I break even but I'm encouraged by the posts of you guys reference your optimism for the future.
It seems that different brokers have different approaches, but If like me you're with T212 then the deadline to participate in the RI event was 10th April
If I had decided not to participate then my rights would have been sold after 10th April on the market, and the proceeds distributed to my account shortly after.
As I participated in the event the allocation of the new shares to my account will not be made until after 24th April
Like I say other brokers may be different but that is how mine is dealing with things
downbutnotout You aren't helping the rest of us really with your gloating at buying shares at a cheaper price.
I know this is an open forum and you are perfectly entitled to contribute, but a little understanding for those of us that are enduring a large financial loss wouldn't go amiss really.....
Yep awhawton agreed.
My broker (T212) only gave me and others on the platform the option of buying the rights up to and including the 10th April, or selling them 'only' on the 10th April itself.
We therefore lost out on being able to sell our rights when the rights issue started for a higher price than the abysmal amount we would no doubt get on 10th April
I had no option really in those circumstances but to buy my rights really .
Just as an aside I overheard a stockbroker today on the train (well, he said he was one anyway to the lady sat opposite him) that he expects the Tui share price to slide to £3 come the end of the rights issue.
That can't happen.....can it?
For me as a shareholder who has taken up my rights I’m quite worried that the future risk/reward profile of Tui shares
is not very attractive to future investors . Especially considering there could be further dilution of our interests further down the line
Buying the rights should bring down my average share price by a bit but it certainly is a worrying time for our investments I think
