So when Sundenza earlier today called those of us worried that despite great results today the stock may have a negative day 'muppets', I'm afraid he or she was wrong.
I dont know who he or she is but he or she is now blocked from my view of this chat.
Name calling is a thing a child does and has no place on a Shares forum.
I think its probably more to do with this news
https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1896381/flight-prices-spain-ryanair-easyjet
Please excuse the naive question, but if a majority of shareholders decide to sell next week and take their profits, wont that cause the share price to tumble from it's current price regardless of any prospective bidding war?
My 6.2% Lloyds monthly saver matured yesterday. I put £200 in a month with the interest applied at the end of the year's term, thinking i'd get (£2400 x 6.2%) £148.80 interest at the end.
Nope - idiot me didn't realise that the interest is based on monthly accumulation. so i got the equivalent of 3% interest instead.
I should have put a lump sum in a 5% interest account with the likes of Cahoot rather than what i did.
Oh well, you live and learn eh.....
Well i've been away for a few days with no mobile signal and have come back to my Alphawave investment having gone from 70% up to 1% down .
I am kicking myself now for not getting out in the green when I had the chance.
I dont know about you guys but i dont want my capital tied up here for 2 or 3 more years before things get better, so I'm getting out now at a very small loss whilst I still can
Morning all,
I hope the 72 hour strike by the Heathrow refueling staff doesn't have a general negative effect on airline shares if it happens as planned over the May Bank holiday.

Sky News is reporting that any Israeli response to be made on Iran will be delayed until after the Jewish Passover.
So that means not until the end of the month
I wonder if this will have a calming effect on the markets knowing its not going to be immediate?
I am torn here.
On the one hand I've waited nearly 2 and a half years for my Easyjet shares to break even so I'd like to give them the chance to actually make me some money.
But on the other I've been burned so badly by my airline investments over the years that the thought of yet another outside catalyst bringing the share price steadily down again fills me with dread.
What are you guys planning to do with your shares if you don't mind me asking please? Hold or Sell?
Morning all.
After yesterday's great day lets hope the short notice strike action in Majorca doesn't bring us back down to earth with a bump today
Hopefully it wont but we all know how reactive this share can be over the slightest bad news....

I hope this doesn't have a negative effect on the share price on Monday
https://www.reuters.com/technology/cybersecurity/iag-flags-air-europas-customers-personal-data-leak-wsj-reports-2024-03-21/
I know IAG only has a 20% stake in Air Europa currently , but it is planning to buy the remainder.
The slightest bad news over the past few months has caused IAG shares to go down in value so if this continues is back down to 150p unfortunately.
Why its taken 6 months for it to be announced that personal data may have been lost when this happened back in October is another conversation entirely!
I've just seen this news story here about job cuts and a plan to spin off Unilever's ice cream arm
https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/marmite-dove-maker-unilever-cut-072241530.html
From those here who have experience of these sort of things, how do you think this will effect the share price going forward?
Does anyone have an idea please of why Alphawave shares have dropped over 10% this past week?
They earlier in the week announced their successful first chiplet-connectivity silicon platform on TSMC’s most advanced 3nm process, so I'm confused as to why this wouldn't at least keep the share price where it was at £1.90?
