Tim Clarke was trying to bully RR into signing up to his demands. RR though were not going to be held hostage to fortune by comnmiting to a date only to miss i0t an payout recompense. It looks like GE did sign up and its costing them.

Todays fall is not due to the SMR issue even though the journo only just managed to mention SMR. No loss of orders yes a generally dull market but mostly my shares are down half a percent. RR is down 4% it doesnt add up. Unless the aircraft order has stumbled. Commodities had a spike followed by sharp fall around 1 pm

Other countries are looking at RR SMRs

THe DT article also mentions SMRs for the UK

Just be thankful Questor didn't say buy! He's usually very wrong. The market is supposed to be taking the next 18 months into account which means SMR and single aisle aircraft to RR. There are other gains which can be added to the balance sheet such as the sale of the air taxi and a continued reduction of the $1Bn spares holding whih hopefully will add $200m to the cash pile or paying off

debt. Questor has missed the main gains.

The wing section is the strongest point and most surviable.

The safest place is to be in the centre where the wings meet the fuselage because that is the strongest part. Then avoid the aisle and climb over the seats to the nearest exit. WHen you board always count the number of seats to the exits.

I'm hoping that today we break through 300p and never return.

A little known fact but Airbus 320 the competitor aircraft is designed to withstand a 16g crash without falling apart. It’s a modern standard. Boeings 737 was designed in the 60’s and can only withstand a 5g crash without deforming. This means that if you are in an A320 and it crashes you are far more likely to survive than if you are in a Boeing 737

HI peak, this was a an option which Alaska chose no door in the sense that you could not open it but they used a modified door to fill in the hole, instead of filling the hole with normal ribs and aluminium sheets shaped to fill in the gap. That is why the hole is so perfectly formed. Boeing have gone down the cheap route with minimum effort.

the door swings outwards on a large hinge at the top. In Previous models the door comes out in one piece which the operator places on the wing out of the escape route. As for this door you can clearly see the white lugs round the hole where the bolts were supposed to be to secure the door permanently. However there are no bolts and if a few bolts failed then the lugs would have been distorted. My guess is that Boeing never fitted the bolts and the door had lasted until the handle or something else failed. Boeing are in for more lawsuits.

Looks as though Boeing have used too few bolts to secure the emergency exit. Normally these exits have several locking pins around the with a handle at the top

Isee that out after noon American buyer is back once again. There have been some chunky buys this week and I've been expecting an RNS either today or Monday.

True the unmoderated board on ADVFN is wacjy,I believe there are several russian bots there trying to disrupt RR and other defence companies since they invded Ukraine. Jane the pain could be part of it too.

RR has tripled but this year it will double and more.

I'm now wondering if I've been too light on this years prediction? We could with a good wind hit £10 but we need lots of Ducks to line up.

8) We pay down the debt by about £1Bn or more

9) We announce a joint partner in the single Aisle engine market

10)We receive a few more great orders

Following the piece in the FT we should be a lot higher. We started to rise but the crash and market seniment has pulled us down. The Trrent XWB had no part to play in the accident which is begining to look like an air traffic issue where local craft may use Japanese and international craft use English. The Japanese Dash 8 probably didnt realise that a 787 was bearing down on him and didn;t stop at the taxiway but went staight on to the runway thinking he had been cleared. Why th drop is therefore a mystery but it is a good top up opportunity.
