YY only makes a couple of modules for the EJ200 engine. ITP make some modules which gave us a larger share. We sold off ITP which I feel was a big mistake.

I worry that Airbus will look for an alternate engine supplier if it believes sales are being lost because RR is charging too much for the engines thusmaking the 350 uncompetitive

Er… no. RR has received far more from the government for SMR. You need to look into your investments before shorting.

This has been coming for a long time. Basically the Saudis have been extremely happy with the Typhoon which now has an awesome payload. Its battle experience in Yemen has impressed. The RAF needs to buy more too. from memory RR make the HP compressors and HP LP Turbines modules?

You might recall when the B787was first in service and the battery caught fire? Boeing refused point blank to change the battery and decided to incase the batery in a metal container. The metal containment could withstand the mximum heat a battery fire could generate. An overboard exhaust outlet was fitted for the smoke etc. This was a world first in permitting a fire on an aircraft.Airbus saw the problems Boeing was having and decided to retain the normal batteries for the A350

A17 The banks have a clause that RR has to pay down the debt first which it has been doing. However when the loan is nearly paid off then RR can start to pay a dividend, but RR has to ask permission first.

Any dividend announced opens up the company to more institutional buyers and pension funds who can only buy if a Divi is paid.

Several years ago Airbus won the huge contract to build an air to air refuelling aircraft based on the A330 for the USAF to replace the KC45. Naturally Boeing weere up in arms because they lost. Following a recount or fix Boeing won the contract based on their ageing B767 airframe So far it has cost Boeing billions due to delay after delay. Add in crisp packets and debris being discovered in areas of the aircraft where they could cause flight restriction issues the USAF are fining Boeing $150,000 per aircraft delivered. The quality control at Boeing seems to have vanished. Meanwhile Airbus produced the A330 MRTT on time and has grabbed many, many orders globally. Also the USAF are looking for a KC135 replacement and Airbus could win the order.

Just over a yearago a friend asked for a tip.I suggested RR and so he bought at about 92p.When they hit 130p he asked should he sell? i said to hi wen you sell is up to you but why limit your profit? He stayed in. now he's asking should he sell? I've said tto wait until Feb 22nd if a divi is announced then he's to hold on tight because this will be 500p in no time at all. Bring on feb22nd!

RR is a wonderful company. One of the top global brands, Totally innovative. It jut had poor management now being sorted

Its all about dark pools and hedge funds seeing your order them buying ahead of you then selling ti you.so it costs you a slight 0.0001p or whatever more per share.

I prefer a stock consolidation.

My Broker once told me a story about a client who had bought shares in an oil company I think it was Dragon?anyways the shares were about half a penny each . SO they decided to do a consolidation. something like 1 share for every 100 held. Logging on to ceefax the client saw the shares at 50p each he thought his boat had come in!! Out clebrating that night it was champers all round the bar. Waking up the next morning and reading the paper he suddenly sobered up

The writer must have read my end of year prediction. Its crazy to think that the PE will be 8. That's incredibly low. I'm also surprised that he see's the current price as crazy when the rally crazy price was how low RR fell to. As for buying he looks to the oat management not delicering when he should be looking to the present management being very capable of delivering a better future

Knowing in advance that Delta were going to announce their order today might have worked against the SP yesterday? The large fall could have been instituted by shorters pouring doubt on the order plus the SMR news or lack of it. Just looking at the fall suggested to me the order had been changed in some way. Good to see that wasn't so. Now we need a bit more news before February results.
