Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Be greedy when others are fearful. Or go and see the film Dumb Money on at the cinema now.
The SP is supposed to reflect the futue in 18 months time. However we know this to be untrue.
Currrently we are waiting for orders from the following airlines
AirFrance/KLM
THY
Thai
these should increase the order book by about $4-$5BN but there are other airines out there long overdue fleet replacements and they have full bank accounts.
Even if we only get te 100 engine order from AF thats about $2-3BN
One important poit to remember is that RR are 18 months ahead of any competition
Buying from RR is a no brainer. Whatever the cost the government gets half the money back from PAYE and they want to win the next election which they would never manage if they bought from abroad.
It would not look good if Tufan flew the nest so soon. He has a once in a lifetime opportunity to turn around one of the top companies in the world. Get the job done and he can move anywhere and name his price. Flitting around and leaving a job unfinished never looks good and say the BP job only lasted a few months Tufan would be out on his ear with a poor record and few prospects.
Wasn't there a post about 8% of RR being shorted? They must be on fire by now.
I can see 250p very soon
The ADVFN board became extremely disrupted by Russian bots posting 6 pointless posts a minute. Nothing to do with RR. This is now mostly sorted. I expect the same here and everyone needs to be aware Bots are about.
Now for the RR bit. We are currently awaiting XWB orders for THY and THAI which should add up to half a billion.
Could we please returrn to ROLLS-ROYCE matters. I don't want to see this site turn into advfns failed RR board.
I work for RR and things are looking very good just now.
BOth Saudi Arabia and the UAE are buildingnuclear power stations so it makes sense that Qatar wants similar
The windfall tax idea is for all energy companies who have made excess profits from the steep rise in fuel costs. ie windfall. Its not for RR who do not supply energy in the UK market.
Nothing holding this down. 250p next stop.
£2.50 is the next price point.
Back in January Tufan said tht RR was carrying £1bn in stock. This was far too much especially comparerd to competitors. This level has been reduced and continues to be. This is a very cash generative action where £500m could soon be added to the bottom line and be used to pay down debt.
The Fool used to be a good site but it went down hill and started publishing complete rubbish. The RR coverge has been woeful and even this is old news dressed up.
I'm pretty sure that it was in the last accounts that I read it
There is a clause yes . But its believed thta if the debts hit a certain low level divis could be paid out.
