Suggests they are sill hoping to conclude the deal with Turkey. Airbus are probably desperate to announce the deal because so far they have only announced 40 aircraft orders. while Boeing have announced a couple of hundred. The Turkish deal if announced will trump boeing.

****nal17 i have never suggested selling at a loss or underpricing etc. yes we know the engnes were sold at a loss or cost with the money being made up on the care service. tufan has clearly stated that the care policy was an underpriced insurance policy . with the t1000 very nearly bringing down the company. he doesn;t want tht to happen agin an we all know he's jacked the price up on everything. my concern all day yesterday was that he had over-egged the increase. but as we know its all one big game the price will be reduced or some other financial method will be found to make it attractive. america aways has the advantage though that the dollar is the currency in aviation abut to us it can mean unlanned losses just like what happened to laker

****n17 as i have a degree in economics i really get it more than you suggest. i'm well aware of the game as i explained in great detail regarding freddie laker a few days ago. ali bashir and tim clarke are aways playing this game tufan has played hardball at bp its all about a meeting in the middle and making sure that both remain solvent in the long run. buy a bunch of engines and then seeing the supplier go bankrupt because you made them sell at a loss is not good business.

GE paid Boing many millions to be the sole engine provider for the B777X. Not heard anything about RR paying Airbus though.

Bloomberg sat down with Tim Clark yesterday to discuss the order made at this year's DAS. At about 2:08, the question as to why the A350 wasn't ordered is discussed. In summary it comes down to engine issues and performance guarantees with RR.

Hi Cev Orders would dry up if RR over priced the engines. but I believe realism would take over and a deal will be done.

Well you've worked out that I am an aerospace engineer.and so yes know a more but aeonautical engineering.

We alll know its a game on pricing its what you can get away with. The problem is if aircraft orders dry up and airbus install other engine options. Yes that would take time but is possible.

Its looking as though RR have over-egged their new pricing. Its causing delays in order announcements and upsettig airbus a little

TK just shared the following investor release:

'Our Incorporation has been engaging in discussions with aircraft and engine manufacturers as part of the growth targets set forth in the Strategic Plan covering between 2023-2033 period. In this context, discussions with Airbus for the purchase of 355 aircraft—240 firm and 115 optional— to be delivered between 2026-2036 are ongoing. Necessary announcements will be shared with the public following to the Board of Directors' approval.

Probaly about 1000 aircraft will be ordered but we are looking at only the aircraft that have RR engines,

Emirates have ordered 90 B777's already but there is a rumour they will order 50 A350's too. i'm guessing that this will be confirmed at 10am because emirates will be insisting on it to grab all the headines.

Everything I;ve been sayng for the past month is falling into place. The airshow starts Monday and THY finally come to a decision.

KLM/AF will be good with THAI forced to order or be left behind.
