.couldnt pay the auditors so they are "conflicted" and were going to be changed anyway, couldnt pay the lawyers so they were conflicted, couldnt pay the marketing guy so he must have "underperformed" , i wonder what they will accuse the Premier League chairmen of that they cant pay ...

Premier League gamble with new sponsorship The often murky gambling sector of football sponsorship has embroiled Newcastle, Fulham and Sunderland. They have all signed £1million three-year sponsorship contracts with Bet Butler and their software technology partners Worldlink Sport, who are funding the deals. But Worldlink have yet to pay monies due to the clubs last month while consultant Stephen Pearson, the former Premier League commercial chief who brokered the agreements, is taking legal action against Worldlink for non-payment of his fees. The clubs have been told by Worldlink the money is coming. The Football League are due to announce Bet Butler imminently as their new betting partner but that agreement does not directly involve Worldlink Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2205244/Charles-Sale-John-Terry-ready-test-FAs-rules-Ferdinand-race-case.html#ixzz26tXljB55

no problem. i don't think the clubs will want to make a statement i am sure they will just remove them and find a replacement, i am sure its a bit embarassing for them i would think that they didn't do due diligence but i guess the marketing guy was a credible guy who brought them the deals..
I would say It is definitely Stephen Pearson - it is also on his twitter feed @SMg1274 and i and a few others have spoken or emailed him directly - his blog is linked to his linkedin account. he is spreading the news fast.. He must be one seriously ****ed off guy.
has the betbutler and worldlink logos ....but will they have them at the next match ?! should be a fun week ahead, have they got money or have they not, i fear not, sounds like they have a final week to come up with the money for the premier league clubs from what i hear.
Small point folks.....Worldlink are presenting themselves as official betting and gaming partner of various football clubs. i have been checking with the UK Gambling commission and they don't even have a gaming licence...very likely that the gambling commission may close them down anyway.....http://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/
Nice to see the Football League recognise Betbutler as their partner http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/Partners/0,,10794,00.html when Corals is still promoted on their own website ...oops
Who says they have paid them? why would such a high profile marketing guy leave the company. and threaten legal action if all was rosy only a couple of months after he was appointed Maybe the clubs are planning legal action also, i am sure it will become clear in the next few days, certainly before their next home matches if the clubs haven't been paid yet.
The Ellis deal did not happen. If it did then the Worldlink people on this forum would have provided evidence that it still exists. Not announcing such important information to the market is an extremely serious matter in my view for the directors of that company.
