... to spell it out, Navitas's discussions with their own funders could quite easily come down towhether or not Navitas are prepared to pass on any of the upside from Isobel to people who are basically just being asked to fund phase 1.
But if I was a betting man (and I Guess we're all doing that) there's enough there at somewhere between $45 and $50 oil for this all to get done.
I'll be more relaxed if/when PMO's lenders and equity placing are all sorted for their N Sea deal. But we'll have to wait for some time towards the end of Sept for that, all being well.

What exacty is Cyclops saying? Of course Isobel isn't going to be developed as part of phase 1!

I don't think any of us are gurus on international financial reporting standards for capitalised exploration and development costs. But the point is PMO have publicly, as we have all known for months, paused the project in terms of its engineering costs, ie except for commercial, financial and regulatory matters and anyone with an ounce of sense, integrity or commercial nouse would see a change in accounting for capitalised costs in that context.

It doesn't change anything apart from further impairing old Cyclops' vision!
But yes, Isobel is potentially an absolute diamond. Its the further development opportunities, ie Isobel, that are the real carrot for Navitas.

From what I reaad Chevron wanted gas assets, which comprise the heavy majority of the assets of Noble as a whole.
So it takes out one potential buyer of FI oil cos (Noble) and demonstrates that another (Chevron) wouldn't be interested because they're looking for gas.
... which maybe means we'll be left alone for the next few years to realise full value ????
