FIG approval of Harbour's role was a condition of the PMO deal, so they're not disinterested.
But any more than that??

It's not actually news of any sort that the Harbour/PMO deal is progressing to schedule. There's a schedule for virtually every day, and with quite alot on it for most days in a deal of this this size and convexity.
What would be an investment event would be resubmission of the UKEF application. Said it earlier but that's an actual decision that would have to be made.
Don't see why they wouldn't resubmit, even if only to preserve the optionality they have. But I guess if they really felt it wasn't worth tuppence they wouldn't bother with the management time and expense.
Also there's the question of what the application actually says. What if it really sounded like they mean business on it ... !

Just a thought, new UKEF rules re oil may mean resubmission would need to go in before end Feb. Isn't that something they'd need to be taking a decision, errr, nowish ... ?

Well it clarifies he's a tw*t. Possibly a t*who started with money but then what on god's earth is he doing on here all the time p*ssing away his life.

lsetown: nail on the head there. My only concern though would be the status of all the engineering work and third party commitments generated by Premier. I'm far from sure Rkh really have access, still any custody, of these. Would a new operator have to start from scratch and incur the costs? Fig, or ideally of course rkh, need to get their mitts on the stuff. But I fear quite a lot may, at least currently and rightly or wrongly, be locked up as a proprietary asset of Premier/Harbour.

And she'll have to ignore her North Sea guy (captain Kirk or whatever) who appears to have limited appreciation of the overall cost to her shareholders of the oil he's producing. I may be a touch unfair in context but he seems to talk just about lifting costs. She'll obviously be aware of all the development and probably appraisal, exploration and even acquisition costs involved in expanding N Sea production. Am sure she will - they sunk Premier! It all usually adds up to N Sea being too high cost.
FI is all done and spent. Yes in part courtesy of people who subscribed (a lot) higher up in Rkh and also Premier creditors (only getting 70p+ in the pound really on this reorg?), but ready to go.

On reflection Linda Cook couldn't say South America anyway (which I'd have liked to hear) because that would have excluded Zama.
Ultimately just don't see them having such a chunk of their future resting on a non-operated asset (am I right, they're not operators of Zama?) when it is a stated corporate priority to operator.
So Zama goes and, in some form, FI is developed.
I'd like to think it's all positioning to get the best out of selling Zama and tweaking royalty terms etc in FI.

Sounds like the Italians are limiting their loss on OM. Rkh will get something for the costs of delay and be asked to re-apply for permits.
But don't think we want to spend on developing OM at the moment. Would have preferred more dosh for a permanent ban!

In a sensible world what you say should be bang-on.

For myself I agree with most of Overs and LTT posts. If I was in Linda Cook's shoes I'd be a seller of Zama, and probably Indonesia as well, and a developer of FI. All being well that explains her public stance. Basically needs to convince others on Zama, Indonesia, not so on FI.
But I'd rather not be second guessing that people mean the opposite of what they say!

We'll see. I thought they're not operators of Zama, am I right? And Tuna in Indonesia won't do much for extending their production life.
I still don't see how they're anything but a medium term wind-up and close down exercise with no chance of attracting a load of new shareholders to take their private equity backers out - without FI.
Hopefully all an exercise in optimising terms with FIG. Mo

... but they could have all sorts of reasons to at the public presentation that way. They refer explicitly to competition for capital in the company and we can assume they're talking to Mexican, Indonesian, and FI authorities about support/taxes etc for all the projects.
And I don't see how they maintain medium term production without FI.

It was a pretty shi**y mention of FI on the Chysaor call to be honest.
Basically on development projects Linda Cook said they're keen on Indonesia and Zama and then mumbled something about looking at FI post completion of the deal.
To be fair it's the same words she used in the post deal announcement call, but the mentions written in the prospectus and shareholders' letter are more positive. Those mentions may have been just put together by investment banking personnel from Premier material.

LTT: entirely agree. They can't just hang on endlessly about today's production - like they did in the post deal call. They've got a bundle of old fast-depleting reserves. Talk about a burning platform!
If they don't get themselves something else to say they'll be asked if they left their coats with reception pretty quickly at meetings with investing institutions.
And Seal Lion ticks all the boxes, with phase 2, at least, an integral part of the case.
