And just perhaps, people here need to temper their expectations. By going full pelt on predictions and continually ramping the share, people are left disappointed at what would ordinarily be great news. Maybe I am guilty of this myself at times, but I've always held a long-term view.

I don't think the downtime is a major financial issue, I'm more concerned about what's been put in place to prevent it happening again. If you want to build investor confidence in this region you have to nip things in the bud. If we don't have full transparency, we will all be fretting about what nasties might turn up in the next update - especially if it's late. I must admit, this has shaken my confidence a little. It wouldn't take much for Fortune to restore it, so I hope he does.

The problem wasn't handled swiftly - it took 7 months and industrial action before the issue was resolved. If the company had rectified the issue earlier they would have avoided losing income and we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Second, the four-day protest was also listed as a production interruption.

It's my belief that these issues need more clarification.

If I'm not mistaken, Bushveld's majority ownership of Vametco took place last November, this action was June.

I agree that everything is on course. How can there be concern over reduced profits that are still MASSIVE but have not even been reported to the market? I am concerned, however, about industrial action. To say it;s been rectified is all well and good, but without more detail how can we be confident this won't happen again.

The board may be naive on one or two aspects, but this is forgivable as long as mistakes are learned from. Full transparency = happy, confident investors.

I do hope so. This doesn't have to be a problem, but to ignore this - and the clear effect it's had on the market, is patently ridiculous.

Precisely. Investment and expansion = funding raising or profit immolation, which will significantly drag down the SP. it's not going to be a straight line to heaven.

The way I see it, one would like to think the SP can climb significantly beyond £1.00 on current productivity alone + near-term expansion. It's the development of and ability to scale VRFB technology that would be by far the more attractive component of any conglomerate takeover bid, and as that element of BE's development is still in its relative infancy, a prospective bid would not be forthcoming until the SP was well beyond a quid.

Message to Pdub, it's a chat forum - no one knows you, you can't be defamed. If you're so worried about your reputation, then you're simply exacerbating a self-inflicted battle, and losing.

None of this loose talk really matters - the performance of BMN is all that matters.

Dav3J - looks to me like one or two people have tried to short the stock, failed and are trying to drag it down - fine, let them get on with it, but it won't work and it's boring to read. Scaremongering, and there's been plenty of it, has had zero historical effect on the SP - the charts speak for themselves.

Even if a Q2 date was set and subsequently missed, I wouldn't be worried because I trust in FM. He is a victim of his own success, always over-delivering. Where there have been perceived delays in information, he has blown everything out of the water with a sucker punch. Therefore, history should teach us to treat any perceived delay with expectation rather than concern.

Dav3J - maybe you're right re: warrants, but FM has always been conscious of SP performance, which is affected by all updates, operational or otherwise. If you don't think the numbers are going to have a material effect on the SP and your investment, why kick up such a fuss about when they're published?

@nvhltd - stop banging on about production figures, it's boring.

1. BMN did not give any promises as to when production figures would be released, so they're not late, hence no jitters
2. If were to make a guess, orderly clearance of warrants is a plausible reason why figures might be delayed

If you agree with the above - and there's no reason why not to, there's nothing left to say. If you disagree, write to Fortune Mojapelo, how the f*ck are we supposed to know?

BMN is the most compelling investment I've ever coming across. I've pretty much gone all in, but still have holdings in other companies - not to derisk as such, but because of the gambler in me. I'm not naive enough to imagine that something, somehow couldn't go wrong, but my levels of relaxation considering the size of my investment (practically comatose) pay testament to the confidence I have in this company and those leading it.

Wish I'd got in during the 3p days, but that's easier said than done because BMN needed a leap of faith then, it doesn't now. Even if I'd only discovered BMN today, I'd be equally excited as the strategy is only just starting to reveal itself. The upside remains huge - and if BE reaches its true potential and everything falls into place, possibly astronomic.

When the SP was 18p why didn't SP Angel set a price target of 33p instead of 24p? I don't see how the fundamentals have changed massively in-between. The only thing Meyer is being consistent at is hedging his bets and following the SP rather, than being proactive and valuing the company accurately.
