Not seeing any arguing. Waiting for the company to make an announcement is the whole point of the debate.

In my opinion, they weren't transparent enough. BMN said nothing and lumped the strikes into the production figures, which brought a wave of criticism and instigated selling. Some have said it wasn't the strikes but the slight grade reduction that was responsible for the dip, yet since further industrial action has commenced the price has plunged again, so I'm led to speculate its the strike action that's unnerving holders.

Let's face it, the price would have dropped regardless, because none of it's exactly good news, but more detailed transparency MAY have reassured investors that have subsequently sold.

I guess until we know the gory details, it's hard to make a claim BMN should have been more transparent or less, but I fail to see how things would have turned out much worse than the 35% drop we're witnessing.

@Raffym - I don't suggest giving the workers what they want, rather the company simply provides transparency as to what the problems are and how they're being dealt with. That open dialogue will help reassure investors, and had it been done already, maybe MMs wouldn't have seized the opportunity to pounce on week sellers and drag the price down 30%.

Well whatever the plan is, we need to know. This is not something that be swatted away by an RNS. If they report tomorrow that industrial action is over but say nothing about how the dispute was resolved, how is that any kind of future reassurance?

For me, far more important than any income lost (or otherwise) through strike action is the way this situation is handled by the board. The money lost is peanuts in the great scheme of things and doesn't change a thing in terms of company fundamentals. However, one of the biggest obstacles to investment in Bushveld - or any company operating in Africa - is perception.

Political instability/corruption/security/bureaucracy are all major turn offs. So this needs to be sorted fast, otherwise BMN will be viewed as a high risk investment for IIs. I believe shareholders also need greater transparency from the board as to exactly what is going on and how it's being dealt with.

Agree with nearly all of that, but wish people would stop telling me "SP drops are only losses if you sell". Like almost everything you own, equities are part of your assets - the prices goes up and down every day and you make decisions based on their value. To say that if a share drops, for example, 50% you've lost nothing if you don't sell is absurd.

By that criteria, those that bought at 3p and are still holding haven't made any money yet lol

Strikes have been strategically timed to coincide with H2 results IMO. Still, it's important than BMN is not perceived to be a pushover.

Why wasn't this resolved before the need for strike action... again!? From where I'm sitting, BMN doesn't seem to take production being halted - and the consequent loss of income - very seriously.

Excellent stuff BBN, you make an extremely succinct and compelling case. What's your opinion on the role that Uni Energy Technologies (UET) plays? Are they are a competitor or a partner? I'm also concerned about the horrendous state of Eskom's finances. In your valued opinion, is this concern mitigated by the reformed political climate?

Shorting is a smokescreen IMO, plenty of long-term holders selling for a quick buck. And why wouldn't they when they've already revealed their investment decisions are based on technical analysis?

BBN, where does your confidence re: VRFBs and market penetration derive from? Obviously, there are big opportunities, but it seems we're a very long way from this being a certainty, especially with ballooning V prices, which, ironically may force the energy sector to look at cheaper alternatives.

I'm not that bothered re SP. It's very disappointing that we have probably witnessed the most sustained drop in the history of the share, but then we've never had so many bandwagon jumpers. On Vametco profits alone, fair SP value should be over a quid, nevermind everything else that's going on.

For me, BE is what could send this stratospheric, but if you were basing your investment decision on that alone I'd see it as little more than a punt. Or maybe I don't have the foresight that BBN has.

Doesn't really matter MTJK, those posts were read and digested - having them removed hours later is too little too late. Reporting of posts is not only counter-productive, but largely pointless.

Fact is, the SP rose to 27p based on Q2 production numbers hype. Now it's dropping back down again because of the type of investor that attracted. Irrespective of the whether the figures were good, bad or indifferent, SP would have retraced due to band wagon jumpers who respond to SP movement alone and understand little to nothing about BMN's fundamentals. It's part and parcel of AIM and something we'll have to put up with until we're off it.

If BMN wasn't an AIM listed company this news would add 5-10% - instead it's 4% down. Just goes to show how unaware the wider market is IMO.

Maybe if you stopped responding and wittering on about them they'd stop posting. All you have to do is reign in your ego and emotions - shouldn't be difficult for full grown adults.

As I said last week "Believe it when I see it." Bit sad to see if I'm honest. Continually responding shows massive insecurity in your investment.

As a former shareholder, I stumbled on this interview and found it most amusing. What on earth is Foo talking about? ENEO coming back online, big deal - share was tanking before ENEO made it uber tank. No fundraising - yeah right, pull the other one - he's said that before and withing weeks the begging bowl came out.

Then he starts wittering on about cell phones and grids. Sod gas, we can't sell that - we've got other plans. lol

Seriously, busted flush - do yourself a favour and get out. There is no substantial market for gas, as proved with ENEO the political instability makes VOG a massive ongoing risk venture.

Foo just wants to keep his extortionate salary ticking over at shareholder's expense. His begging act at the end was excrutiating. I threw a lot of dosh down the drain on Foo's lies and spin - don't become a victim.
