VAST will move up20 Jan 2021 11:09
A few have said about the 6 months only for news. VAST never said that, this error was just a few here either who are not fully understanding what was said or how the market works.
The biannual reports are not the only time the company will report news to the market. They are in addition to any news that happens. This is AIM regulations, VAST don't decide time frames for reporting news, other than annual reports etc. They HAVE to report news as & when news occurs and they want to. This statement was an extra step to provide more information to shareholders.
A poster asked for my reasons for investing here & I have in the past posted reasons but the volume of nonsense/anger/frustration on this board often means it is not worth posting anything & I want others to buy/sell/hold for their own reasons.
I will however try to be as transparent as possible. I wanted exposure to copper & took a few positions in companies with exposure to copper. Some went up & sadly this one drifted down a bit. I got caught off side on two placings but my position sizing was small & I averaged down.
I continue to hold because Vast has actually progressed since I bought in. The current fundamentals are actually more positive despite the share price, they are well capitalized & they are a cash generative business. The directors are buying. VAST moved 2 production, had their first sale, possibly second, etc. These milestones are a huge achievement and put VAST ahead of lots of companies and they did this during a pandemic, with a broken bridge, and an unhappy shareholder following.
This combined with my belief that Copper is going to continue to have a very strong period. That does not mean the copper price will not fluctuate. It will, and so will VASTβs SP but the global demand for copper is going to be high, given the move to electric vehicles alone but also all the other avenues copper is required for, you only have to look at how popular Greta is to see the need for copper. VAST have an abundance of it & are able to get it out the ground cheaply which is Win win.
The Diamond side of the business is looking slightly more positive & the fact they would travel there for meetings during covid tells me something could be happening there, if they get that going the price goes up or maybe an IPO of the other assets. There are a number of other assets but for me it is the copper. Letβs get it ring fenced structurally and see what happens. I could go on and on, but in summary there have been stumbling issues along the way & I feel for long term holders who bought the dream higher and paid to get the company into this position but I believe those issues are now behind the company. And there is an opportunity in the current price for new investors & old, donβt put the house on it but have something on it as it has a higher probability of success.
Hopefully in a few months we will look back and kick ourselves for not buying more down here.
