Probably a mixture of all of those things. Investors are likely intimidated by the downward trajectory of the past month and would prefer to see it change before piling in. Like you they are probably cautious and wonder if there are problems behind the scenes. They are also likely wary as each bit of news over the past month seems to have pushed the share price lower.

Personally it's these reasons and others that I've taken a risk and moved most of my portfolio to here at this 240-250 range. Be greedy when others are fearful has never felt more apt.

I could prove to be completely wrong and this could drop below £2, but I don't think so.

It's no mean feat to scale up to 10 million tests a month and it's even more of a challenge to sell all of those 10 million. It would be fair to argue that the market right now, especially buoyed by falling transmission in western europe and the US (the only countries that seem to exist according to the world of investing) isn't convinced. The slightest bit of proof and this is rising far more than 30%.

DYOR, decide the value, buy if undervalued sell if overvalued. Ignore everything else.

Right now with the updates we've been given and the things we are hoping for but not guaranteed, my value is £4 give or take £.50 either side.

I should have gone with my gut and sold off a month ago. I don't think what's happened is all that surprising and I don't think it's anything to worry about. Most of us expected it to slowly trickle down and then rise back up as we got close to results and that's still likely to occur.

I expect this to be back at 60p in 10-14 days from now, it's just a bit of a wasted opportunity not to have made a number of shares in the interim.

I don't think we're going to see much profit taking at these levels either. With the potential for it to blow you'd be a bit silly to start trading this for a percent here and there...

How do you change sentiment? Well one way is by observing that the bottom is in and seeing very little downside at these prices suddenly. Once again the dust has settled since the last rns and anticipation likely to start building towards the next bit of news.

I spent hours last night poring through past rns's, getting my head around the trajectory of the pandemic and wondering what to do. And my conclusion? This is going to turn out just fine... Not only that I still think we could see new highs by July here and if it drops any further I am considering moving more money to here.

With the fall as exaggerated as we've seen we're a bit of momentum and some good news away from a genuine rerate now.

This is one of the main reasons I'm so confident about this company making money. When you have a product that governments across the world desperately need in an emergency they don't think about maximising efficiency - they buy whatever they need and then some. If a billion tests are needed worldwide a billion tests will not be bought and distributed to exactly where they need to go - ten billion tests will be bought and the rest will be lost or chalked up as stockpiling.

I know this looks and sounds incredibly cynical and it is - but it's also true. Novacyt will be able to flog another 60 million tests by the end of the year I'm pretty certain of that.

Same here at 36.9. There could be a real opportunity to profit here off those chasing gains elsewhere.

Before covid I just had £15k of my savings for my first home in a safe tracker but with what happened in March I took some risks and have turned it into £35k.

Got £20k in here now, £5k in IAG, £5k in SNG and £3k in NEX.

Having doubled down at 240p this stock is now the difference between owning my first property or not (£4.50 a share would do it!)
Anyone else overexposed?

Let's not get carried away just yet. As long as today reverses the downward trend I think we can hope for blue days with or without news.

This is going to take patience for the big rewards.

It's one of the biggest challenges in investing - maintaining optimism when share prices go against you. You can see it right now across the different boards. I invested in IAG a month or so ago as it was still falling and people lose heart so quickly predicting it to fall more and more. A week later it turns and then everyone predicts the complete opposite.

sharehunter IMO the potential upside is enormous but it is only that, potential.

If it turns out we can sell 10 million tests a month and for many months to come, plus extra revenue generation from the new products and OEM agreements, then the sky's the limit and the ability to mutate into a leading international diagnostics company like Graham has said previously becomes ever more possible. £10, £12, £15? You name it.

But there's still a lot of ifs and buts and hurdles to overcome yet.

If this drops below £2 we might find that cash exceeds mcap - i'd buy it out in that case.

Allah4uk the point is fundamentals and intrinsic value DO matter. And that's precisely why now is an excellent time to buy. Corona stocks are not in vogue right now, or fashionable as you put it, and so the share price has dropped drastically. This is the chance to build up your stake and wait for sentiment to shift and more news to be released.

Think about the wider stock market crash in March. Those that understood that stocks were massively oversold jumped into at ridiculously low prices and saw in some cases returns over >200% in a matter of weeks.

This September timeline for a vaccine started with the Oxford professor Sarah Gilbert. If however you listen to the interview with her on the Andrew Marr Show from what must have been about five weeks ago now what she was really saying is that hypothetically a vaccine could be ready as early as September. Everything had to fall in to place in a way that is technically possible but statistically highly unlikely.

The only reason I see there potentially being a vaccine in about six months from now is the sheer number of organisations attempting to create a working vaccine.

Quaruple g you're right about vaccines. The news around vaccines is going to ebb and flow but a mass vaccination programme implemented to the degree that the pandemic can be more or less considered officially over is not going to happen this side of christmas 2020.

Even when that does occur only time will tell how long immunity is going to last and then there's the people who don't get vaccinated, whether it be for medical or personal reasons.

I think novacyt will still be selling covid primerdesign tests in two years from now.
