There is a lot of other things the BOD are doing to turn TC around, not just looking at the airline and the Fosun offer. for example, More own branded hotels, selling off retail outlets, using the internet more, etc. I don't even want them to sell to Fosun as I'm looking at TC long term and I'm convinced the share price will go up to a good level in 1 or 2 years. So I'm keeping mine. And don't forget the £1.5 billion loss included a £1.1 billion right off for My Travel.
My average is just under 19p. But I'm not worried. Just wait for the 3rd quarter results/statement in July (thank god for the bad weather this year).

Seems to me the price recently has been pummeled recently/today as there is nothing good coming from the BOD. There is a lot of negatives being pushed around. The board are doing the best for everyone, stakeholders and shareholders. Remember stakeholders are employees as well. The selling of the airline and possible takeover is very complex. We will get better news in July.

If they are still in discussions then they won’t tell us which bids etc. All confidential at the moment.

Although I have been buying small amounts of Thomas Cook for about a year, this is my first chat. It seems to me that when the shares go up there is more positive chats and when they go down there are more negative chats. This is only human nature but I can only see the share price going up based on these facts:
1. the board have admitted they need to change in order to compete/survive
2. have put up the airlines for sale to reduce debt.
3. already started using their own branded hotels - more to come.
4. already started closing retail shops (or about to).
5. using the internet instead of retail shops.
6. the BOD have said they will get the maximum value for all shareholders/bondholders.

All this and more AND a possible bid from Fosun.

I'm convinced the share price will go up - even if we have to wait a year or so. I am hoping for at least 40/50p.

So why worry - just sit back and wait for all to fall into place. I suspect end of July. Prices will be volatile until then.
