I topped up last Friday with 5,400 shares taking me to 50,000 at a cost of £3.5k (Loss £1.5k so far) but previously have made profits of £4.3k. Looking forward I am hoping to get to break even in the next 6 months but looking forward to next week.At the current SP its makes for a 'Strong Buy'.I do not think the SP will go to the last heights of the previous spike but once they show continual profits & a few more deals things will look better.Fingers crossed.

'UK pledges £5m to fight 'super gonorrhea'

The UK government has pledged £5 million for the development of new tools for the diagnosis of “super gonorrhea” as part of a renewed push to combat the rising tide of superbugs around the world.

Professor Dame Sally Davies, chief medical officer for England, has announced an extra £11.5 million to tackle antimicrobial resistance (AMR), nearly half of which will go on the development of a rapid, point-of-care test for drug-resistant gonorrhea.

The government is due to launch a new AMR strategy in the new year, with the aim by 2040 of controlling what Dame Sally says "threatens the future of modern medicine".

“Super gonorrhea" is spiralling out of control around the world and earlier this year the world’s “worst ever” case was diagnosed in a man from the East Midlands who picked up the bug while on holiday in South East Asia.

Two standard antibiotics failed to cure his infection and he had to have a three-day intravenous infusion of the antibiotic ertapenem.

The £5m will go to the non-profit partnership the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND) for the development of a test that will be ready for use by 2025.'

I said 'range of sciences that Summit had' that should read 'has'.

Hi EP - Good to hear from you & yes my portfolio is looking dire with the exception of INFA. I do on occasion speak to Summit & have at no time detected a problem that we had not been told about.The science is therefore still sound unless told otherwise.I think that there is no appetite in the US for the current range of sciences that Summit had as I believe that it was DMD they were interested in & the continual drop on the NASDAQ has worsened the situation.In addition I guess there is a large overhang of shares anticipated to come onto the market.

We will have a better idea next week when I expect we will receive the results for the 9 months ending 31st October 2018 at which point we will have a better idea as to how far Summits cash runway extends too.

On a more positive note the current SP will enable me to Buy more shares when my remaining portfolio springs to life & intend increasing my holding of 50,000 shares by a further 25,000 or 50,000 but not likely to 1st Qtr next year.

My current average is 96p & I still believe that this will be matched sometime next year & have never thought it would be this year & is why those with funds currently have a bargain at todays SP hence my comment is Strong Buy.

The following meeting this Thursday has got to be a positive moment & hopefully the start of a SP recovery (fingers crossed).

Hi EP - Looking at the other board today it is being suggested that the new brokers are here for merger, sale & at worst further shares.I think that Summit now realise that they need another way of achieving progressing C-Diff (cash flow challenges for completion) & that it cannot do it alone so maybe a joint venture. (PS Did you try INFA I am in constance communications with one of the major players I believe it to be a Strong Buy).

It looks to me that these new joint brokers are big hitters I think something is being developed to move Summit on.

Are we looking at a SP break out today - something brewing?

What does this mean in practice - a funds raise ? (Strong Buy at these prices).

Hi Loosegoose - I agree with you its just a matter of time as we get greater exposure hopefully a further break through today unless held back by day traders again.Its a no brainer as a STRONG BUY.
