I guess 13.5% is par for the course for starters - especially for a company with no revenue - hopefully if there is good demand for the bonds JPM will be able to trim a bit off but the priority is to get them away.

The market fell badly when it opened but has bounced back a bit now - Enquest followed but has quite good support at the moment.

The interview with Gary Cohn, Trump's former US chief economic adviser was interesting. He reckoned American Industry was suffering badly because of Trump's tariffs but the consumers were not sharing the pain because 80% of what they spend is with the US service industry that is unaffected by tariffs.

He went on to say that the Chinese were using the tariff issue as an excuse to control their overheating economy and that their method of control is simply to restrict credit. I guess when they decide to reverse this policy we could see a surge in demand for oil.

The Sapphira is on her way south towards the Straights of Gibraltar - her draught of 13.7m confirms a load in the region of 530-550k.

Her destination is recorded as Ceuta - this is a small Spanish protectorate on the North Africa coast - I guess she will just be using the anchorage there and sailing on with her cargo to another destination - so we could be looking at another load for maybe Southern Europe or even India ?

The fact is that the SP has been in limbo since stage 2 funding was announced - the only volatility caused by shorts and traders - we are now back to around the open offer price just waiting for the bonds to be sold.

The judgement now is - will the bond issue be a success - if so it releases all the main funding and removes most of the financial risk of the project .

So its fairly obvious that the SP will fly if the bond issue is a success - every indication says that it will be a success so SM IS A STRONG BUY!!!

I have always thought that we will get a bounce upwards when Brexit is sorted - the fact that Johnson ruled out an early general election at the weekend would seem to indicate that some sort of deal is in the offing for the Irish backstop to break the deadlock.
