Phoebus i think you have this completely wrong. At the end of phase 3 Omi would still have 25pc if it got to that stage. Brad is on record saying phase 3 feasibility report could be anything up to 75million dollars. I've also heard tho phase 1 the majors spent considerably more than the advertised 10million qualifying expenditure. I have heard more like triple that figure. Do I know for sure I don't. Not that it really matter to Omi I suppose as long as the majors are spending and extended the terms. Also 5pc of the fault has been drilled. Alot of land to explore. Agnico weren't on board at the start, it was newmont's baby, Agnico were brought in for their expertise in VMS deposits. They wouldn't have entertained it if they didn't like the look of it and it be worth their while to be part of it. The majors are also keeping alot of data back for no doubt selfish reasons, so for me this will be big and the biggest enemy is market fluctuations and patience.... It's the beauty of the arrangement tho, Omi sit back and let the majors do the work. Omi will not be spending a penny at Anza. Their spend will be on the tin and swamp play (though starting metrics are very low cost). The majors will be drilling over the time frame, most likely pick up when they are at 51pc. They'll find gold, they'll increase the resource. Omi couldn't do this project without them, we'd be diluted to kingdom come. Let's face it as well. Only having 25pc of a major project hasn't done a few well known companies any harm recently.

Easy Google states investor meeting will be 9th and 10th of May. On to Brazil straight after for the boring legal stuff and kick of sampling there. El Pantano can't be far off with those 1st round samples. It should be around a month since they went to lab. Expect very shortly (especially since lab times apparently improved). Didn't they'd do a second round there before winding down, small bonus.

Really good points portfolio. I agree Omi is literally one good RNS from capturing the market's imagination. I think it will come personally and have felt for quite along time that the eureka moment will come when solid grades come from one of the other areas. This is why the news on moving to Pupino for me was significant. The market have played down the significance of the repeating gold deeper at Apta also in my opinion. It's not coincidence that this news has come a few months or so from what for me is a nailed on movement into phase 2. Things will pick up for sure when the majors have that controlling stake....really the near term fluctuations is academic. This could go a bit mental on the right news being triggered . Remember at 19m mcap you have number 1 and 3 majors funding the works for a slice of the pie. There is also only 5pc of the fault been explored currently. Alot more to come.

Things seem to be shaping up nicely though it's slowly slowly. Still not moving my 2nd half of year before things start to get exciting predictions. Still would like more confirmation on the permits and a few other areas getting over the line for drilling. Anything near term is a bonus though. Will be interesting what the deeper rigs uncover at Apta which is a bit of a bonus and makes sense to explore.... we do have a few more samples at the lab that hopefully will bring up a few decent grades, just wondering exactly when they were submitted as we have had significant delays on assays previously. Obviously pepas getting started is interesting and finding out more there re drill plans. Pepas bringing up more decent grades is significant to the project as basically is another area not just Apta. Sampling and Geo's have apparently been good. I've heard they'll spend a decent amount of time there due to cost of moving pads and the difficulty of the terrain/access. Still expecting 1st pass samples from Argentina in the next couple weeks to a month, this will probably be wound down afterwards and restarted again 2nd half of year but would be a nice boost if they come back positive. Have a feeling these will be decent as I think the geologists were there quite a bit of time before this JV was public knowledge. We will get something from Brazil in May as well, which has been tweeted by the company. Say it be more starting sampling and legal stuff etc. All in all though it's a company after experiencing delays and a decline in share price looking like it's starting to pick up again.

Not really sure about it being underwhelming. Best news this has had in a while. They are finally moving into new areas. Market might not fly in but anyone who is invested should be really happy that phase 2 is pretty much guaranteed, they want to explore deeper (which I don't think was on the cards originally) and that they will move into the northern areas and drill them. There are five holes at the lab and we will also have more assays going to it from other areas. This is solid news.

Some will be scrambling to get back in for sure. Expected this in a couple weeks time so to land today is too notch. Well done Brad.

Nice news. Earlier than expected also. Majors are going no where. Happy to see them go deeper at Apta whilst move into new areas. What we've been waiting for really.

It only goes cheaper until it doesn't tho I suppose. I'm personally expecting a Colombia update in a couple weeks and news from Argentina and Brazil shortly also. Probably only going to be two more Colombia updates before hopefully phase 2 commences. I'm focused on the second half of year really as I think things will pick up. Could be some inclination on which way the majors are going here on the next Colombia update also.

Just as we rose out of nowhere after a few sessions we have sunk a bit but still up 10pc in the last 5 days. Not worried by the dip in the slightest. Didn't expect the rise last week but it was welcome. Dr Remington is right tho, need some concrete news. Brad was promising imminent news on the permit front. I was hoping next Colombia update will include this, my thoughts were early May/ back to two monthly Colombia update. If it passes this two monthly point my thoughts permits not through yet. Not that it should do much for the share price currently.....where's the Argentina 1stc pass samples...can't be far off.

Indeed Melville.....things shaping up nicely though the price hasn't represented that there will most likely be drills in 3 countries in a few months time running parallel to each other. News flow will crank up be sure of that.

Yes mozax I don't think getting volume in abundance has been a problem for anyone buying over the last year or so which has seen a capitulation in price. There has been a few on board accumulating during that period. It's the ones who have sold out after last RNS and not rebought their holding yet that might be caught out. Or ones who are now looking to enter and build a position that might struggle. This just needs a run of positive news and it will surely move through gears quickly. It's when positive news lands that for some reason the herd arrive, much better having a position already :)

Peeps forget as well that the conditions are prime for gold at the moment and Omi have their hands on a what could be quite a nice gold find with majors seemingly wanting to get at other areas not just Apta which is all we've had. It's right to mention the sampling which has been going on the best part of 18 months, which when these licences and permits finally come through, things should get pretty tasty. This sampling has never made its way to the general market to dissect, majors seem to want to keep a lid on them, results which have certainly come back, but are tucked away in the land of Newmont under a cloud of secrecy, make of that what you will but I'd say there are a few interesting results, which Brad alluded too in webinar...Brazil where the tin play is, is in a significant producing region which hasn't really had much in the way of modern techniques in exploration. There are a few other elements as well that seem to be in the region as well. The only reason we've not had much in the way there is quite a few companies have to be formed etc in the region before Omi can get started, I'm looking forward to seeing what it has to offer personally. We will in effect get results of the 1st pass sampling in Argentina fairly shortly, there shouldn't be any cloud of mystery on that...all projects looking good for the second half of the year. Happy to see a bit of movement today, hopefully more to come. If things progress as I forsee I am really excited by the potential moving forward.

Seingred I meant if one paid 40p and seen value at anything higher eg 30p, 20p etc the price now is a gift. Time has shown us it was a mistake to pay that much at that point time, hindsight is wonderful thing though. Maybe 40p will be a bargain in the future, who knows but at 9p it's certainly a brilliant entry and a good level to average down at. Again time and progress will dictate how the share price will go. For folks interested in Omi now you don't need to pay 40p, 30p, 20p like alot of us have in the past. Your comment has shown that at just over 9p it is a good price, you seen value at 20p and have paid that, the facts are we don't need to pay that now. Mozax is right, this is a bargain, especially as 2nd half if phase 2 is secured promises to be busy for Omi.

I think a few of us will keep adding as we believe in the story and we are only in the first few chapters. If Newmont and Agnico are keen that should be good enough for us. You don't invest in a small cap like Omi without experiencing some turbulence, trials and tribulations. Everyone is here as they see potential for growth. That won't be easy and there will be twist and turns. Trust your instincts. If you bought at 40, 30, 20, 15p etc then it's a gift. My highest purchase was at 32p. I've not given up. I'm cautious and have to be a bit more savvy but I believe that phase 2 will happen, even the the watchful of us are still here looking for that pay day. Posters that have been here for years even. They haven't given up. My only regret, not just hearing about Omi now at this price:)
