Agnico I suspect are going to be with us. As per ageos post yesterday, it is not by chance they are involved at Anza. Of course this article doesn't mean anything unless we receive RNS to confirm direction of phase 2 and care/ maintenance status but I do believe we are starting to see a bit of green shoots in the mining space in Colombia. Certainly there has been much doom and gloom on these boards and I believe any bit of positivity should be embraced. Having an article where Osorio is quoted as being part of a JV (Minera Monte Águila) a few months after C&M highlights to me anyway that responsibilities have not been abandoned and it is being taking seriously. Therefore I am more positive going forward.

Ageos the Colombian mining association met on July 4th, where 23 companies were present to discuss TSM in Colombia. I found an article from the Colombian mining association stating/ quoting Jonathan Osorio (Agnico/ MMA). .

The director of Sustainability of Agnico Eagle-MonteAguila for Colombia, Jonathan Osorio, affirmed that this was a "winning space", which allowed companies to share their good practices, what TSM means for Colombia. “It encourages the sector to agree on a self-regulation practice, which allows it to be a valid interlocutor with different interest groups, including the National Government. It is a way of demonstrating that we go beyond the norm and that we are interested in sustainability management in projects”.

The executive explained that TSM is a validated international standard and in Colombia there is significant progress in the exercise of good practices in daily management. According to Osorio, Grupo Agnico won an award in Canada for its implementation of TSM in the world, but in Colombia so far they are starting the Minera Monte Águila project in Antioquia, "a joint venture where we are starting to implement TSM, so meeting with other companies helps us to see appropriate examples and build a network of peers to talk about these good practices”.

For me as this is clearly two months after care/ maintenance, I see it as a positive sign. The article was in Spanish which Google translated. Hence my more positive outlook.

It seems that Petro has no support and it is just a matter of time realistically until he is out. Of course he may last the term but doubtful he will make it further. As for mining in Colombia, I think companies are starting to see a bit more positivity in the area, though it does have its issues. Agnico for instance have attended meetings with other companies recently regarding sustainable mining in Colombia. Agnico are on record, in the public domain, that they are at the start of a JV with Minera Monte Aguila a couple months after care/maintenance was announced to us. Make of that what you will. The thing I take from this is Agnico are keen and are beavering in the background. I expect to see the project coming out of care and maintenance. If that happens kiss this price goodbye.

Feeling much more optimistic these days being invested here. It has been a bit of a slog but I think the project will go from strength to strength once we get these wrinkles ironed out. What an opportunity for some brave/lucky souls. If we get some real positive Colombian news, one can ride the Omi bull like being at the rodeo. Sending out positive vibes to the world and Omi investors.

It very much seems that way. It is almost criminal the bile Brad George spewed in webinars. Pretty much up to them to prove that isn't the case. The jury is very much out currently.

Bhargav. I don't have a clue when we will get an update or if it will be positive. September seems as good a guess as any. I'm not an oracle, but if it was a positive update no doubt the bounce would be hard. However, that is certainly not guaranteed and no-one posting on these boards knows what will happen. I do however agree generally with the premise of your post and that of wolfy123. The Orosur team have come across as out their depth and hooky so it's going to take a monumental effort to regain any sort of credibility with long termers. We are all still here though and I think that tells it's own story. Deep down if we all truly thought it was game over, we would have all left the building already. We haven't though have we.

For me the bounce would be pretty hard indeed. I don't mind if negotiations take a while as long as the outcome is positive for Omi. Frustrating of course but I think a realistic timeframe would be beginning of September as it would have been a year by then. Hard to call what will happen and when it will though.

I'd expect an update before September. To think an outcome/ phase 2 has taken a whole year is by anyone's standards far too long.... the pat on the back for getting to phase 2 seems extremely bad taste to shareholders when we are still in limbo and the promise of drills has been more a promise of stagnation. I agree Omi team we need positive movement,answers and progression at Colombia and not an Argentina RNS, which should be very very soon.

I agree and disagree sianhan. Omi have two other projects and I don't think as a company they should just sit back and wait for whatever happens at Colombia. They are hardly breaking the bank at Argentina and Brazil. Argentina for instance is on hiatus for the Patagonian winter, though I think soil sample results are yet to be reported there, so we may get an update in the next couple weeks, which will be backed up with another Brazilian update. I do agree though that market only cares about Colombia and that is the biggest issue for Omi now and moving forward....But, I just don't think as investors we should write off the minor projects as I think they could bring value to Omi's portfolio in time. I firmly think with a positive resolution in Colombia, the market will start to see the minor projects more positively. We are some what clouded on them due to what has happened at Colombia.

I get what you are saying break and I know it's probably an unpopular comment with the feelings of shareholders on this board, but at this current time we have to judge the Orosur team by what happens next in Colombia. I am as critical as the next shareholder for quite a few things, actions/ decisions I don't agree with...including the length of time taken for "phase 2" negotiations, but I will now judge them on the outcome of Colombia, not what has happened since September. At the end of the day the outcome is all that matters and I just hope it's positive and as soon as possible.

I think all this uniting talk to oust the board at this time is a bit silly. I get that people are angry at the share price currently, the length of time things are taking regarding phase 2/ Colombia and the predicament the company is in currently with its limbo status on its main project but I just don't think it is wise to rock the boat further during this critical time.

We all want answers and a way forward and I am 100% sure Brad/Louis etc get the need to get Colombia sorted as quickly as possible. Projecting this negativity currently is not doing anyone any favours. I don't want this to come across that I am defending the company or that I am happy with the progress being made or share price....merely that it's such a critical time, all this negativity is stating to get tiresome.

Like it or not negativity here might influence people to sell which in turn, is allowing mm's to have a field day. Not only that I can guarantee it influences people's perception to buy and I can probably count on one hand the people who have used these prices to add, such is the negativity surrounding things currently.

Anyhow I have added a little again and have been adding a few hundred every week since 5th May. Rightly or wrongly. Colombia will resolve one way or another in time.

My thoughts were either it's a filler (though I quite liked it) or could possibly be a signal that a colombia update is close. I agree something from there can't be far off, as well as close to an Argentina one. There was quite a lot to be positive about within this update....i had envisaged getting updates like this within phase 2 and drilling however. Within this scenario the picture/ sentiment would have been so much healthier..most long termers thoughts were that Q3 was always going to be the quarter for Omi. Really need to get Colombia resolved and moving. Hopefully it's close.

Of course everybody is waiting and desperate for a positive Colombia update but it is still good to see progress in Brazil. Perhaps Colombia not too far off now if this has been released or it may be a filler, who knows.

Not so sure it is completely nothing. I thought it was a decent RNS and it is sounding quite positive in Brazil although in it's infancy. I thought it read well also. Clearly in a region with tin and nobium potential. Alludes to Tourmaline, a positive indicator as boron can be enriched in fractionated felsic melts and shows close association with tin and lithium mineralisation. Lithium? That would be a turn up for the books.
