If iSCIB+ is similar or better than SCIB1 and we achieve approval for the Registration Trial, the Checkpoint Inhibitor owners have to move on Scancell.

The opportunity to own iSCIB+ and develop Immunobody to treat multiple melanoma cancers / settings, would be far to enticing for them not to compete for the whole platform.

Scancell have said in the past that Immunobody would be available if the deal was big enough. That would allow concentration on ModiTope and taking one or two Mabs through to clinical trials.

I would guess that that is the long term strategy.

I presumed that Modi1 would be overwhelming solid cancers from day one.

The reality is that combating a fully mature cancer is a very difficult task. With everything we’ve learnt since the sequencing of DNA we are still trying to find answers.

The advent of Checkpoint Inhibitors has created a very valuable tool in helping our own immune system to detect and attack cancer cells.

The advent of adding Vaccines to the Checkpoints is just beginning to happen.

When I started my journey with Scancell checkpoints were still proving their worth and now look how they have changed oncology.

Immunobody in the shape of iSCIB+ could over the next decade, be hugely important in defeating a large range of cancers and cancer types.

When we receive positive data from the SCOPE trial I’ll be putting my rose tinted glasses back on. 🤞🤞

The first deal for any company is the hardest to get over the line. Added to the fact that you are asking that first ‘buyer’ to stick their neck out when the technology is brand new.

The use of a GlyMab is binding to a sugar and once that first deal is done you open up the door for others to follow.

So my point is that Scancell were not in any position to set there demands above what GenMab considered fair as the guinea pig. If you think they could have asked for $10m / $20m up front, then you are not considering all the commercial aspects of that initial signed contract.

Subsequent deals could be negotiated at higher values and we may see that in January 2025 when this exclusive peek at the technology matures.

Scancell are obviously gearing up for the phase 2/3 registration trial which will need financing or agreeing a partnership with a pharma that has deep pockets.

If anyone was wavering on their investment in Scancell this video and its positive message must make the decision to hold tight very easy.

Our journey through the clinical trials is definitely 'proving up' Immunobody and ModiTope.

ISCIB+ 1st patient dosed 26th March 24.

Allowing for safety protocols and a build up to full recruitment we could have achieve 13 scanned patients by the end of July 24. We had the comment reported from the recent in-person presentation that 10 patients were enrolled in one month, which I presume was mid April to mid May.

My point being that we could have an RNS similar to the ( 9 out of 11 ) early data showing over 80% ORR by mid / late August.

The recruitment may be rapid but its the positive 13 week scans that are all important. Anything before then would be a bonus.

When I joined and first posted about Scancell you were the heartbeat of this board. You were a catalyst for many discussions about Scancell’s science and their potential to make a difference in cancer treatments.

You shared many trials and tribulations but always with a kind humanity at the centre of your posts. Plus let’s not forget that we have the fun times when the share price would take off from say 12p to 19p within a few days.

Thank you once again for your heartfelt and poignant post that reminds us all to live life to the best we can every day.

Moderna are going to be 1st to market with their vaccine and they have deep pockets so melanoma cancer is just the beginning for them.

A successful and proven iSCIB+ will take a few years to become a widely accepted way to treat un-resectable melanoma. From that position Scancell can pursue all other melanoma conditions.

The road ahead for Immunobody and moditope, given that they are both effective, is very long and branches into a multitude of cancer types and ultimately it will be given at the very earliest detection of many cancers.

We are talking about twenty years into the future.

Right now personalised vaccines have a major role to play but hopefully they are just paving the way for better and earlier vaccines.

We already know that SCIB1 was really effective as a mono therapy in Resected Melanoma patients. Not only in mopping up any lingering cancer cells left after surgery but also giving ongoing protection in the following years. I think some of those patients are still alive 10 years after the trial.

In our current SCOPE trial we are dealing with un-resectable melanoma tumours where the best treatment was to use two Checkpoints in combination.

The toxicity can be very serious as with any single checkpoint but the success rate is only 50%. I’m not sure what the 12 month or 2 year survival rate is.

What we are seeing with the addition SCIB1 is, no additional toxicity and an increase to over 80% success rate. As we know SCIB1 Mono was excellent at also giving years of protection, we can expect the survival rate to also be increased.

Yes, there is going to be a market for individualised treatments but the cost will be too high to bring to a mass market.

It is very obvious that Scancell are in a very healthy position, science wise.

Both platforms are well regarded and now developing the kind of respect, at clinical levels, that will ultimately lead to commercial interest. By that I mean a major partnership or a buy out.

It’s only a matter of time before the clinical data spells that out loud enough for even the AIM market to hear.

Still a very important decision to be paying for those checkpoints and then allowing Scancell to bring them into their SCOPE trail. The clinicians and the patients also have to be confident that it’s a potential improvement to current outcomes.

By the MHRA approving this move forward it’s another confidence boost to the whole Scancell team.

We sometimes miss the bigger picture as shareholders we focus on the current SP but success in this ‘Modi1 plus Double CPI’ setting could open up many more scenarios. For an example, it may convince the MHRA to approve a Modi plus double CPI trial in Ovarian cancer where at the moment there are no CPI combinations at all. Our mono-therapy showed great potential to halt those cancers but with added checkpoints it may be a real game changer for patients and future outcomes.

Todays news tells me that the MHRA absolutely see the potential benefit of combining two Checkpoints with Moditope.

This is extremely positive news for Scancell because that medical body has to be fully convinced to sanction the NHS covering the cost of those CPI’s.

That approval comes off the back of the SCOPE trial success and the results so far achieved on the ModiFY trial.

No wonder Lindy says that they are thrilled by the decision.

Those are both sides of one trade. The higher cost is the Sell and the lower is the Buy. No other transactions required.

Absolutely a very astute Bed and ISA done at the lower end of the spread to maximise the number of shares squirrelled away.

No need to assume anything else.

Do Scancell have any urgency to ‘Pitch’ for new investment? I would argue that they don’t at this present time if they know the data is building towards ‘a very positive RNS in Q3’.

Even if it’s a pre-agreed event from 6 months ago surely it can only be a distraction from the main focus, if there are no new details to show off.

I’ve patiently waited for the company to get into clinical trials and then follow the progress all the way to the important data reveal. What I and my investment need is a focus on the delivery of that data.

After the ‘ clinical update on Modi1 ’ non event at the AACR in the USA this year, I am concerned that this Presentation does not fit with the intention stated by Scancell that both trials will report sometime in Q3 or Q4.

I would like to be proved totally wrong, but …..
