Pv72- agree. About a year ago on a project I’m working on, we had to divert what National Grid calls a low voltage cable (11kVA). They used aluminium because at the time, large diameter copper wasn’t as readily available.
When I asked their engineer if this was going to be the way forward with their network reinforcement (called this to cope with the green energy agenda), he replied in the negative. Copper is the favoured material for all their work.
