I am most grateful to Liam for the time and effort he has put in to inform shareholders on Greatlands progress via his relationship with SD but am somewhat surprised at the direct way he has queried Wyloos intentions. Like others, I think it would have been better to raise this with the telegram group first, thrash out the situation (if there is one) and then approach Shaun if still concerned.

I don’t think I heard Liam mention SXX by name in his recording but am sure this is who he was thinking of. I was not a shareholder but from what I know, SXX failed because they couldn’t raise the significant funds to carry out a costly underground conveyor route to get their product to a transport facility.

To some extent GGP were in a similar predicament in needing to raise funds to carry out the Telfer/70% Hav purchase. This I think, highlighted how lucky we are to have SD on our board where he put the team together with Wyloo etc on board and via a (painful) raise, struck a deal with Newmont. I’d hate to think where we’d be now if he wasn’t fighting our corner. I can’t think of any other AIM director I would rather have. One from an old defunct company I had shares in I hope is still in jail!
