Thanks Martc, I saw that post this morning, didn"t have the heart to correct it, and forsight thanks for the advice, but in all honesty after six years I don"t think I have the heart to undergo any more treatments. I know from experience there are many who have had far harsher treatment regimes, and still not made it, it is such a random disease and they are still learning how similar cancers mutate into a life of there on. That is the hardest part you never know which way it is going, and mentally it can tear you into two. That is an aspect of cancer we don"t hear too much about, it is a life changing experience.
I noticed someone mentioned UCLH, not sure in what context but G-d forbid you or anybody close to you is diagnosed it is important to get into UCLH, Guys, Barts, all the hospitals in the London Trust, simply because they have all options of treatment in house, UCLH for example is opening a huge hospital near by for Proton Treatment which opens in 2020, particularly for cancer in bloods, and an Immunotherapy centre which is at last being recognised as a proven treatment. It is true too many are still not making it, but true also more people are enjoying an extension to life, every year they are gaining more knowledge, one day they will make a huge discovery a bit on par with the work of James Allison who won the Nobe l Prize two years ago for his work on T.Cells and their importance in fighting cancer. I have no doubt the enormity of improvement in treatments has been so much the last few years it is harder for companies like us to even stay in the race, especially on the budgets afforded.
Yes there is a need for compounds like 401 if they can show they can stop the cancer spreading enough to work in Combo with checkpoint inhibitors. That is the way the market is heading, even Keytruda the biggest selling drug is in many combination trials, with Keytruda working on the T.Cells. I don"t think the market has even valued that in, tell me are their any positive signs of future funding, it is as dependant as that. As I say good luck, even treatments that tick a few boxes are valuable to Big Pharma and the current M/Cap is tiny. One for the brave!!
